I've been away for some months, returned last week and had to learn my Zerker basics to be up and fit again. Today, after the huge patch, i noticed how i need to learn my class all over again. What a major change. Im still trying out the new combat setup and i mainly noticed 3 things (at first sight): Goods: - Some attacks appear to deal more damage now, or at least immediate burst damage - we seem to have gained more aggro control Bads: - we are slower now? Tides of War is a STR buff now???? [Removed for Content]???? - where the hell are our HP buffs??? They were all replaced by HP regen buffs? We used to have at least 3 HP buffs that stacked (including one that upgraded STR also) I understand the need to nerf our HP stackable buffs, but to nerf our speed????? Why this radical changes i ask? So people have to learn their classes all over again? What was so terribly wrong with the Berzerker class that we needed a total revamp? I need to hear opinions of people regarding this changes, am i wrong in assuming the above? Im i wrong in assuming we just got nerfed big time both in speed and hit points??? Thx in advance

I think my first suggestion would be to read a few of the 4 million posts on the boards here. There's tons of info on it.

Second, I think the zerk changes are great. Zerks are Alot more fun to play now ... and play a lot more like a zerker actually would. Yea, you have to relearn your changes, but once you do, I think you'll find we aren't too terribly nerfed

Actually from what I can tell every class in the game got a considerable reduction in their on hp, mit, avoidance, and resists, not just zerkers. So then it's not really a nerf, they just kind of rescaled the whole game. Warriors (guards and zerkers) are supposed to have "balanced" HP and power pools now while Brawlers are supposed to have additional base HP but lower power, and the exact opposite for Crusaders (lower hp and more power). However, a good friend of mine who is a Bruiser and who is the same level as me and has gear that is comparable to my own for his class had less HP then I did, at least by a few hundered points. But that may be because during my respec when choosing the trait selections I always went for more max HP rather than any of the regen stuff.

Message Edited by infernus006 on 09-15-2005 06:08 PM
