What does sta do for us?

STA just gives you more HP is all.  I consider it the second most important stat (under STR) for plate tanks followed closely by AGI.  Some prefer to go for more AGI than STA but not me. <div></div>

Sta adds to HP, the more HP you have the longer you will last as a tank, amongst other things of course.

That's what I thought, but after this update I've seen people claiming that sta will be the most important attribute for us.  I personally go str>agi>sta.  I'm all for HPs but damage and avoidance (ergo mitigation) are mostly what I'm concerned about.

Well keep in mind that now the more mitigation you have the less avoidance you have.  I have my AGI right around 120 with my STR being 240 and STA being around 170.  Before the patch I had 65% avoidance and now I only have 35% with all the same gear.  I also had over 6k of HP and now I only have about 4200 and my mit dropped from over 2500 to just over 2300, again with all the same gear.  But I have a lot more STR than I did before and now that HP regen stuff too, which does help.  I seem able to tank just as well as if not better than I ever did before so I'm not complaining.  Basically, you want good STA in any case so you have a decent amount of HP to tank with, but it's not really "the most important" stat.  I don't know who told you that. <div></div>
