<DIV>Ok lvl 45 Berserker here and I'm a bit confused on a few things, I think I'm slwoly understanding when to use my offensive concentration buffs and my defensive concentration buffs but I have a question.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Does Rage and War Chant Stack ? I'm assuming they do since you can have both of them up at the same time but not 100% sure.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also do haste items no longer stack? I'm currently wearing that ring with the 3% haste speed buff on it and the FBSS with it's 15% haste speed buff, I cannot remember if they do or do not stack anymore.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks in andavance for any and all help with these questions</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

I have choosen not to use any of the stance buffs. They are both too extreme in there negative effects at this time. You can use defence stance and never hit the mob or use the offence stance and get your butt beat into the ground. The best thing to do is to leave them off and only apply them when needed which I have to say only arises on a certain few occasions.
<P>They do not stack, the better berserk buff whill overwrite the weaker one.</P> <P> </P> <P><U>Rules of haste:</U></P> <P>1 item</P> <P>1 buff (chanter or bard for example)</P> <P>1 proc (berserk proc)</P>

The effects of them do not stack, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't run both. They both only have a percent chance to go off, so having them both up would make it more likely that one would go off. Which ever one is better will take over for the other if it procs but atleast you will have some haste if the smaller procs and the bigger one doesn't. <div></div>

Khalad, saw you post here, what buffs are you using to fill up your concentration? Really curious, heh, I can only seem to fill up 4 ;/ <div></div>
<DIV>War chant</DIV> <DIV>Berserk Cry (or Tides of War)</DIV> <DIV>Destructive Rage</DIV> <DIV>Focus Rage (have master, its better then rage and infuriate)</DIV> <DIV>Offending Defense (at times, mostly during large grp encounters where I will be getting hit alot)</DIV>

<P>Khalad is almost right on haste stacking, except you can get 1 haste from each different spell line. So bard and enchanter haste stack, etc.</P> <BLOCKQUOTE> <HR> Khalad wrote:<BR> <DIV>Focus Rage (have master, its better then rage and infuriate)</DIV> <HR> </BLOCKQUOTE> <P>The berserk proc buff spell lines do look to be scaling badly. For example, there's a ~35% improvement going App -> Adept -> Master, but only a ~10% improvement between Focus Rage -> Rage -> Infuriate, so there's almost no difference between a Master I of a level 20 spell, and the Adept III of the level 48 upgrade.</P> <P>I believe we should be getting a similar level of upgrade in either direction (so Rage is ~35% better than Focus Rage at the same quality, and Infuriate is 35% better again).</P>

<DIV>Kal,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just out of curiousity, have you seen any upgrades on the Focus Rage Line? I'm currently using a Master 1 on Rage, but am think of upgrading my infuriate (they are supposed to have the recipies for this now) to an Adept3. Just curious if this is worth it. Anyone know?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As far as conc, seems like they set it up pretty cut and dry to work like this</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Stance (Off or Def)</DIV> <DIV>Destructive Rage (Screaming Fury Line)</DIV> <DIV>Warchant (Call to Arms Line)</DIV> <DIV>Infuriate (Focus Rage Line)</DIV> <DIV>and Offending Defense (Cast at the beginning of the fight)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Since you can't move with Offending Defense on, you have to toggle it off during battle. So you will be running around with 4 conc slots full and only have 5 slots full during battle</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I also keep Blood Boil on at all times and buff Weaponshield, Anarchy, and Rampage (depending on mob) prior to the fight. These have a quick reset timer, but a fairly long cast time that can cost you if you decide to buff them during the fight. For pulling a group of mobs, I usually pull with Master 1 Stunning roar due to the long cast time and then follow up with Master 1 Fearsome shout for Aggro. Doing this, I can unleash a maximum amount of damage at the beginning of the battle by spamming my short cast abilities by the time the mob reaches me. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This technique has been working really good so far</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, if you are going to solo, find someone that will let you group with them for 1 second and cast Vehemence on them and /disband. The Vehemence Agility buff still tays with you after you ungroup. My Master boosts my AGI by 57 which is an additional 3% to avoidance.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Does anyone else have some good suggestions for playing their zerk?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

I haven't really tried the offensive stance yet, I've only been using the defense one (Unflinching Will) so I've had it on at all times I've played since the release of the expansion (just as I usually did before the expansion). I can still solo blue-yellow non-heroic mobs with no problem and beat other level 50 players in duels with it on so that should tell you something. <div></div>

Since apparently exp per kill caps around .4% or so (just the word on the street) killing oranges etc. doesn't do you much any good. So when I'm tanking in a big group I try to run my offensive stance but use shield + 1H. I tried to go RGF for this and got beat on. I was grouped with a templar, bruiser, troub, and warlock and we were absolutely annihilating yellow ^^ and ^^^ groups. I had the bruiser parsing and he and the warlock were averaging 300+'s and I was clipping along at a 250+ rate or so. Note that the 250 was previous to me using my counterattack or offending def (I just signed on and was pullin too fast to see [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] I was doing). So I definately like the offensive stance when you got a super pro healer. Otherwise you can run def stance and rock [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot]. Also, for those of you who are lucky enough to have a Yew Bow that is a way better pulling tool than a taunt LOL. 1000+ damage on about every other pull 4tw. RAWR new zerkers rock still.

I agree Sabin. The bow is the best way to pull single mobs.. nice damage.... I'm sure it just p*sses them right off at you. But I still perfer Stunning Roar when you have a group of mobs.... I can't remember off the top of my head, but my master hits for I think 300 to 500 per mob.

<DIV>Not sure what lvl 50's like, i'm 43 right now. I've tested all possible combo's (2hd/DW etc) with both stances and without and for me the offensive stance with a 2hander wins hands down with ease on single yellow ^. Also played with groups of yellows and same is true. Must be the extra attacks from being hit.</DIV>

Ahhhh man!!!! I just upgraded my Infuriate to Adept 3. I had the Master for Rage. Between the two, all I got out of it was 1% DPS and Haste with Infuriate. Bah! I could have done Unbridled Fury

Also mitigate damage better. offensive stance doesnt hurt me too much more but it does make a difference. Not sure what tests you performed but your way off on that solution.
