<DIV>        When choosing racial traits an such before DoF, I went str since I liked doing dps more than tanking and we could do both equally well.  Now when DoF launches in 2 hrs I'm not sure that's going to be the case.  Which is more advantageous for a berserker to choose, str or sta?  I'd like to choose str since in raids, the guardians will still be MTing most of the time becuase they have the name "guardian" and berserkers are thought to be inferior whether that's the case or not, plus you only need 1 or 2 tanks, str can be used at all time even when not tanking.  BUT, if I choose str, then my HP will be just a little higher than a scout's and I get made fun of... /cry.  Help me and all the other berserkers who don't want to [Removed for Content] themselves from day 1.</DIV>

<DIV>As of beta last night, stamina added ~5 hp per stamina point, so it's not really a big difference like it used to be.</DIV>

<DIV>Berserkers get skills to buff their strength and in some cases agility. That's why I'm going stamina. Dont forget our prior HP buffs are now regen, best to get your stamina as high as you can for tankability and let regen re-add lost hps during combat.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Direct hp buff adds health before combat begins.</DIV> <DIV>Direct heals and regen add health as it depletes in combat. Go stamina to get your health pool as high as possible and let regen do the rest</DIV>

Now I think stamina will be the best way to go.  I forgot about the str buffs we'll have.  I'm choosing stamina if the servers ever decide to come up.

I wouldn't worry <i>too </i>much about it.  Moorgard has said that they'll most likely give us another /respec in a week or so, after we've had some time to relearn our toons. <div></div>

A GM said in chat today that NO respecs would be given so make sure you choose wisely.  Dunno who is right, but play it safe and don't count on it.

I went with stamina every time. But then, I built my respec completely around anything that gave me a tanking advantage. <div></div>

<P>I went with str this week, and will be most likely sticking with that.  90 percent of my play time is in a duo with a templar, So i need all the dps i can get.  Max hitpoints are really only usable in mass raids, so if you dont plan on raiding 5 times a week, my opinion is your better off with the str.  As far as small groups go, I used to play a pally in EQ1.  Even though Warriors always had more hitpoints, no class in the game could hold agro better then a pally, so we were always first choice for tanking in a group.  I hope that is what the Zerker becomes.</P> <P>BTW we will be able to respec in a week.</P> <P>Blackguard Wrote:</P> <P><EM>When each character logs in for the first time after Live Update #13, all of your Character Advancement choice swill be reset. This is the equivalent of a /respec, only you aren't going to do it manually at first. When we disable the Bonus Adventure Experience that is currently active for players below level 50, we'll allow you to use the /respec command to reset your choices again (so you have ample time to try out your class with the combat changes and decide what you would like to choose).<BR><BR>Also with the expansion (this is a permanent change, not a one-time wipe), experience debt is capped off at 50% for both adventure and artisan experience.</EM></P> <DIV>So there you go.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Raidyen on <span class=date_text>09-14-2005</span> <span class=time_text>09:15 AM</span>

<DIV>I picked strength for now and I'll see how it goes this week.  I might go with stamina with the second respec but I'm not sure.  I like the extra damage and I truly don't think it will make that big of a difference considering all the other stat buffs with gear and spells.  I may be wrong on that though since I'm not really a stat cruncher.  I don't check combat logs or anything like that.  I figure if everything is going reasonably ok with soloing and grouping then I'm fine.  I don't raid either so a raid berserker might need to worry about it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
