Ok, bit of a vague subject title here but I'm basically wondering how the class of the Beserker in EQ2 fits into common RPG lore and what they are like to play.I really enjoyed the Berserker class in EQ1 and the common image of a RPG Berserker is a some sort of crazed-fighter who swings big axes, doesn't wear a lot, and can go into blood rages or something to dish out a lot of damage while taking it in return. All of this kinda contradicts the point of them being a tank class... which brings me to my question =DSo how do Berserkers play? Do they get cool abilities to go into rages and loose control? Can they deal out of a lot of damage in complete disregard to their own health? Etc etc.I'm just curious.

Basically a beserker is a solo gaurdian. we have some good abilties like focus rage (allows beserker to beserk) and fury (counterattack). Are move have good power and a few can stun.

The most important aspect of the beserker is his ability to beserk. this increases attack speed and attack damage and can be obtained from most of the combat art you will obtain. (the first one is focus rage)

The bad part about that skill is that its being chnged with the expantion right now and it wont do anything as similar to what it does now, but there is going to be another skill wich uses hp over time and its also a skill to go crazy, can´t remember the name right now.

To finish up, we wont be such a damage dealer class like you mentioned on your post, but more of a tank class wich is what SOE looks at the Berserker like and also to balance everything up. Right now I enjoy alot the class, we just have to learn everything over with the combat revamp and see what we are going to end up like. Some people are re-rolling to play another class and some are even quitting the game, and others just love the changes coming, so we just have to see whats up.

Good Luck!
