Just wondering how zerkers do in Harclaves, against the Pit Champion, etc. Or any strategies regarding the CHampion. Thanks.

Can't comment on being level 31, but being level 50 the Very Difficult Pit Champ could save himself alot of time and just carry out my treasure box to me. I think my personal best for him was something in the realm of 80% health and 15% power. As for lower levels I think he might be abit tougher since you don't have all the stuns. As for strats I would suggest using whichever weapon/shield or weapon/weapon combo afforded you the most stuns/stifles/interupts, *I think at that level one of your stuns still requires a shield. Other than that chain HO's and use your level 5-6 or w/e taunt to finish them. If you get low on power use your level 2 attack and your level 5-6 taunt for a 80-100ish damage attack for only around 25 power. Also, he has a casting motion that looks like Ryu getting ready to throw a fireball. When you see him go into this motion try to stun/stifle/interupt him.

GL

Wow, very difficult is that easy huh? I am 50 with very decent gear, few fables, and I have a tough time on the lowest Pit Champion, and I play my class very well. You must have very very good gear and know your class better than most. I have only tried the Solo Arena 5 times though, so I might need more practice.

As far as Harclave goes, I have got it down to where I only need to kill 2 mobs before getting the buff, the first 2 mobs in the zone are them. Every other mob can be timed to get around and light the torches at a range that doesn't aggro the static guys. Other thena that, just make sure no more than 3 groups are attacking you at one time or you might have problems staying alive.

Every time I've completed the (normal) pit champion, the only loot has been the Champions necklace. Does anything else drop from the champ? @normal? @difficult? @very difficult?

Update:The strategy listed earlier in this thread really did help. I never realized I could interrupt the champion based on his animation effects. That is awesome!I completed the Pit Champion again this morning, still got the stupid necklace again.-RJ-

Any advice on certain moves I should switch out, or is it just a matter of improper gear?

I'm a 48 zerker on Nektulos and i only ONCE came close to beating the champ on regular. Anyone have a idea on the order to chain stun em for me? I think i can do most if not all of Poochy's stuff (i'm a burnout i dont pay attention to most of my spells names just the icons and i have em on my four hotbars), I can try that order, i never tried stunning a mob then running behind it ... lol didnt know it would work. I'm such a nubish 48. (No fabled gear, no ebon, i truly suxx0rs....although i could buy a couple ebon pieces, now i want to wait for the next set of stuff so i'm savin my 6 plat).

OK, lets see if I can get this right, considering I'm sitting at my desk at work right now. I usually start by hitting controlled rage, weapon guard, and reckless counter (w/e the t5 counter attack is) for buffs I have up the Normal chance to go berserk one and unflinching will. The reason I use Controlled Rage and Unflinching is because for -5 to slash/pierce/crush and -20%ish attack speed I can pick up +25 defense, throw in my racial trait and I'm at +30 def (6 levels so I'm nearly even con to him). As he walks up I throw anarchy and Rage.

My cast list looks as follows:

Relentless Battering, Raging Blows, Vanquish, Frenzy, (Hit Herioc Opportunity thing), Mutilate, No Quarter, Wallop, Stunning Roar, Complete HO with Bully (Has an interupt), Relentless Battering, Berserker Assault, (Hit HO thing), No Quarter, Complete HO with Bully.

Now this my cast pattern might seem unconventional but all the colored spells have interupt/stun/stifle effects. Generally speaking with this combo I can chain stun the Very Difficult Champ for about 20+ seconds, and by that point he's been beaten on so bad it pretty much doesn't matter anymore, you could go auto attack to bring this puppy home. Now for Frenzy I use Raging Blows + Vanquish's stun to run around to make sure I land all my hits, but this isn't super necessary.

He just wrecked me. Just got home and finished the thing and he wrecked me. I know perhaps my gear isnt the best (nothing fabled, nothing imbued, cept my agi ring)...but what the hell am i doing wrong...he was at 46% health when i ran out of mana and the fight just totally went out of my control.

Oh and to add to my message, I am using a 1 handed axe (swine axe or something like that) and the SBS in my other hand.

Message Edited by kfizzle on 09-07-2005 04:29 PM

Personally i HATE using a shield, I prefer to use a Dual Wield or a 2 Hander, but my 2 hander currently isnt imbued or 'really special' because my guildmates and I are about to embark on the Maidens Gulch thing for teh Sexxy Prismatics. ALthough dual wielding i have a Pris Imbued Falchon or what not and the SSOY for my other so those might be a better bet eh?

I wasn't able to defeat the Pit Champion until level 35 And then it was a close call. I'm almost 42 now and haven't tried in a long time but I think I'll give him a try again sometime soon.
