<DIV>This may seem like a silly topic considering all the changes happening in September, but I feel that each of us has at some point had thoughts about the 'berserk animation trap'.</DIV> <DIV><BR>What I mean by this is the animation in which the berserker is highlighted in red light, and performs a pose with their weapon when they go berserk.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Particularly when fighting multiple opponents, the 'trap' occurs when this animation repeats over and over again to signify going berserk multiple times.</DIV> <DIV>In the worst cases we end up standing there pointing our two hander in the air for the entire fight while numbers mysteriously appear over our foe.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I feel that this takes a lot away from the feeling of the class.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm not saying that the animation should be done away with entirely, but something should be done about the trap.</DIV> <DIV><BR>Why not keep the red highlight, but lose the pose.  That way we can still swing our weapon while this animation is activated.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>I know what you mean.. or where you do that flexing type thing when you go berserk and I know at level 50 with all my various skills that put me into the berserk state it seems I'm always holding my weapon in the air.. or flexing.. it gets really annoying, but I think it'd be way to much to change all those animations and stuff, I don't think SOE would want to invest that much money in something of this nature.</P> <P> </P> <P>Plus.. the SOE devs have MUCH bigger fish to fry atm <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

<P><FONT color=#ff3300>Yes I have always looked at this, and the best example where to see this is in Harclave Splitpaw, since you get buffed and you can never see your character hitting animation, but you do see tons of numbers over the mobs head, even if you are fighting without skills I think the hitting animation is to slow compared to what you really hit, and since I dual weild, I can see the diference much more than with a two hander for example, I barely see my chars hitting animation, I do think they should do something about it, but since its only cosmetic they won't much about it right now.</FONT></P> <P><FONT color=#ff3300>Good Luck!</FONT></P>

<P>With graphics being one of the top selling points for EQ2, I feel as though cosmetic problems like this one need more attention.</P> <P>The way a game looks is almost as important as the design, and currently we berserkers are looking a little silly at times.</P> <P>It is time for people to start voicing their opinions about graphical problems in the game - they play an important role in overall gameplay!</P>

<DIV><FONT color=#ff3300>Well I also think it should be fixed, but I don't think its that bad like other things in the game. I once was in a small group killing a gollem and I was just doing damage, not tanking.. and there was a lvl 50 player walking by and stoped to look at the fight, and after the fight he sent me a tell saying that he really liked watching berserkers fight, that we look really good.. it feeled really good hehe, so its not that bad <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ff3300></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ff3300>Good Luck!</FONT></DIV>

Just be happy it doesn't affect the actual combat....I was playing one of the LotR games...can't remember which one...and when ever you played Aragorn and was fighting he would do this little flip with the sword to change the grip, taking away an attack. It was okay at the begining of the fight but when you were low on live you tended to die...After this happened three times it went into the nevertobeplayedagain pile.

<DIV>With the combat changes released the answer to this question is, "NO!".</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Now we have this animation preventing us from swinging our weapons even more than ever.</DIV> <DIV>I'm quite disheartened.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

They are graphical fluff.</span><div></div>

<DIV>I realize that the animations have no impact on the actual damage being done by my berserker.  The entire reason that I'm upset is because I now have to deal with seeing my character pose in this ridiculous animation through about 80% of the fight after the changes.</DIV> <DIV>In order to make it to 60 you need to like looking at your avatar, and as it stands I do not.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
