Does anyone know how efficient we are power-wise after the changes?

Currently I end a fight with a same level enemy with about half my power remaining, and about 80% of my health.

Our defese will be going up, but our damage will be going down - I wouldn't mind so much if I knew that we were saving power overall, and could stay fighting for lengthier periods.

In my testing, I have run out of power a lot. Granted, I've rarely done any six-man grouping. This is based mostly on solo/duo testing. Even if I hit my Manastone religiously, wear GEBs, and my fabled mitts with a clarity proc, it's a lot easier to run out of power than it ever was on Live.

It is probably a combination of the instant cast times, the damage reduction on most of our arts, and increased hit points on mobs. I am actually going to wind up running some numbers and simply never cast the least efficient of the arts. That way I'll still have power to hit the more efficient arts the fifth or tenth time they pop up over the course of a fight.

najena.konk

Wow that's bad news. It sounds pretty rough. I honestly wasn't expecting that to happen.

Do you think that this is a way of making enchanters/bards more desirable in a group?

Are all of the other classes taking efficiency hits?

I can't speak for many of them, but in the necromancer forum they report an increase in power efficiency.

I know this is off topic but I thoguht that the new changes were going to be alot more dependant on mitigation yet u are wearing GEBs? Is this due to the fact that find ur power lower than your health at the end of a fight?

So, my guess at this point is that they wanted to make auto-attack more important in the game, and thus haste more important, and melee weapon choice more important. They wanted people to not be able to spam their damage spells in a typical fight. I suspect, but don't know for fact, that even under Breeze this will not be possible, although you will be able to do more. This makes Breeze have the effect of increasing group dps, which it usually doesn't on Live, it only reduces downtime now. I"m an Illusionist 41, by the way.
