<DIV>I was thinking about the knockdowns in this game today, how when I knock something down or am knocked down myself while running I just slide on my butt until I stand back up while awkwardly moving forward at the same speed.</DIV> <DIV>I got to thinking: do knockdowns actually have a statistical purpose?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When I drop an orc to its knees or send it sprawling onto its back does it lower its dps any?</DIV> <DIV>EQ2 is notorious for dozens of numbers flying out of nowhere that don't seem correlated to the animations, so I can't really tell.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyway I wasn't sure where to post this, but since I thought you all knocked down a good number of people I thought I'd ask the berserkers.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Knockdown is just like stun, but it also knocks target(s) on their backs, but not every mob in game can be knocked down, some of the mobs wont fall down, and im not sure are they immune tho knockdown and that way cant be stunned using this art <div></div>

I could be wrong but I think any mob that doesn't show the knockdown animation when you use such a spell on it is just because of the mob's body type.  For example take a snake...kinda hard to program a realistic looking knockdown animation for that kind of mob I guess so maybe that's why they just didn't.  I think it only works on humanoid models.  but that doesn't mean the mob still isn't being effected by the spell somehow, they may still be stunned or at least interrupted from it I would think. <div></div>
