Lately my guild has been replacing the Inquisitor in the main tanks raid group for a berzerker, based on the berzerker buffs that can be given to the guardian.

I'm rather curious about what exactly berserkers do for their buffs. I guess I have to see it to believe it

Would someone have the time to post some screenshots of berserker buff abilities at level 50?

Basically a Berserker will buff 700-800 HP for the group which stacks with the guardians buffs. 60% group haste. Around 20 str for the group. They can also place a buff on the MT that will let him block some attacks for him, like 42% ish (all fighters have a version of this spell).

Not alot of defensive spells but a good amount of HP for the grp and the avoidence for the tank. If the guardian goes down the berseker can usually take agro fast and is in the right grp to tank and sometimes can prevent a wipe.

Message Edited by Khalad on 07-31-2005 06:33 PM

Berserker's are amazing group buffers, especially if you take Uthos Defiant Cry and Uthos Superior Tactics. I have adept III of all my buffs and I add around 1200 hp, 35ish str, 270mit, 69% haste, etc etc. We always keep a zerk (me) in the MT group and our MT hovers at around 11500-12K hp. Gorethok Jigglebelly 50 Berserker - Crushbone Leader of Elysium

I'm curious Gorethok - what ability do you have adds group mitigation? I've never heard of such a thing, other than the temporary buffs (such as anarchy) Which add around 225 mitigation, for about 40 seconds or so.

Anyways, as far as buffing, pretty much have the same thing to say as above, with Hitpoint buffs stacked, you can get around 900-950 buffed HP, depending on the quality of the HP buff. As far as strength, mm.. other than War Chant i'm also curious what other ability increases group strength? I know that the lower level strength buff doesn't stack with War Chant, which increases STR by about 16-20 (again depending on the quality)

Mmm.. as far as haste is concerned, there is Tides of War increases group combat skills (piercing, crushing, slashing) by 11ish and group attack speed by about 51%. Then there is Destructive Rage which increases group HP by around 355 and group attack speed by 10%. So a total of 61% I guess.

So yes, if any fellow berserkers could enlighten me on how they seem to have insane HP/speed buffs, far more than my own, I would be very glad.

It may be that I don't have master 1's of all of my abilities, and every other 50 berserker does, which may very well be the case.

It's all in the buff stacking in my case War chant adept III will give an additional 20 str, this stacks with the training option Uthros Superior tactics which gives a further 12 str, making a total of 39 str.

As far as hp buffs go I can stack Destructive rage (373 hp at ad3), Screaming Fury (311 hp at ad3), Uthros Superior Tactics (276 hp at ad3) and Battle tactics (190 hp at ad3, though sometimes the MT will cast this) maing a grand total of 1150 HP for the group

What gore said, if you dont use a zerker in MT grp you are dumb :smileyhappy: ... however sometimes SK can be better replacement depending on fight, they have great defensive buffs.. but overall zerker/guardian is best combo for MT grp as of now anyways, we'll see after changes

Is Uthro's Superior Tactics not a training option? I thought trainings couldn't be made into adept III's, they only were "adept II"? I dunno. It must be a training, and unfortunately I didn't choose it when the choice came up, it was a long time ago.. though if i am allowed a /respec i'll definitely pick it up. Lately i've tried /respec and it hasn't worked, even though I have NEVER been able to respec before and choose new abilities, or i would have a long time ago. Anyways, thanks for clearing up my confusion behind those high numbers being said, hopefully with a /respec i can take Uthro's (not sure what I chose instead of it) and be a little more useful. Either that or some shimmering star gear. Hoboslayer, 50 Berserker, Oasis
