Monsoon or EBCC - 2 hand comparisons

EBBC is definitly better then Monsoon however I think Monsoon is a better value for how hard the quest is. If I was you i would not spend 3-5p on Monsoon at level 44, wait until you can do the quest. For now i think you should either get a simple imbuned fulginate executioners axe, or a Chilled Axe of Frost( i think its called that, drops from Undertow pretty often.) <div></div>

EBBC has better stats and Damage Rating then the Monsoon SSW , for a long time i thought Monsoon with the haste would balance out VS EBBC but the damage rating says it all .... 50 DR for me ( EBBC ) Monsoon 46 DR for me.... therefore  IMO EBBC>Monsoon <div></div>

<P>Thanks for the replies.</P> <P>I opted for a Pristine Imbued Cedar GreatStaff in the interim.</P> <P>It has a DR of 49.2 and the damage range was better than the Monsoon (or anything else I could find on the broker) - and its cheaper!. Stats aren't great, but will do as I work towards the BBC/EBBC and ultimately a prismatic. Of course before I can do that quest, the new expansion will be out and I will be behind the curve yet again :smileywink:</P>

I haven't got the EBBC but the Crook has a DR of 51 for me. Monsoon has something like 44. Also, we are zerkers with our own haste buffs, what difference is the haste proc on Monsoon really going to make? The only problem is, I look like an idiot with the Crook equiped *laughs* <P> If you haven't got SM I would pick Bloodfire when you come to do the quest, if you have got SM I would pick the Bone Razor.

I gave up the moonson for the crook, and soon as I'm finished with the EBBC I'll be giving up the crook for the EBBC.  It's all situational, if you have a mezzer in your group you don't want to be using something that procs a group AOE....tends to upset them <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>
