Ok, here's the question: Assuming that you have the opportunity to upgrade one and only one T5 berserker combat art to Adept 3, which one would it be?

Now I know that there are changes coming that will impact on our skills, so the idea of this question is simply based on the situation as it is now - ignoring any potential changes. I am just curious to discover which skill my fellow berserkers would choose to upgrade if they were restricted to just one.....over to you folks.

Shahut 45 zerker

Lavastorm

well assuming you serve as a MT sometimes, I would recommend a taunt. Either your AOE or Single depending on which will raise your overall taunting ability more. IE do you have one adepted and the other not?

Also here are some more tips from a thread ranking each of them from some other people.

http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=4&message.id=11601

Jinos

Lucan D

Message Edited by z2xm on 07-13-2005 10:28 PM

Bully would be one of the last to upgrade, whether you are MT or not (or not in the top 10 anyway).

Anarchy should be the first - it's one of the best abilities we have for offense (~2k per melee group member, per cast), defense (4% mitigation 40s out of every 60s) and aggro-generation (triple group-buff in 1 cast), and it upgrades well.

i always assumed that i'd get some sort of group buff (anarchy being a good example) upgraded first before i did anything else, strictly because i'd like to raid and from what i hear zerkers don't really have a good place in end game raids. are there any raid heavy zerks that could comment on that? what group buffs would be best?

If you click my name below, you can see where my focus has been. If I had to pick one t5 art, I might actually pick Frenzy or Stunning Roar. Maybe Mutilate, if I had not been lucky enough to purchase a Master of that one.

I understand a lot of people love Anarchy, but that short duration and not-quite-as-short recast really bugs me. The cast time is long enough to rob me of a few combat rounds, and there's always that risk of inadvertent aggro. So, I'd say it's a situational art for me. It is high on my list of what to upgrade next, but I won't be turning any more rubies into upgrades until we know what eq2.1 will do to our arts.

Sir Konk
Shadow Syndicate
Najena

I'm the MT for my guild and my alliance guild (even with several lvl 50 guardians) my top choices for Adept3's would be: Anachy Fearsome Shout Destructive Rage Controlled Rage Unflinching Will Bully Raging Blows Frenzy Weapon Guard Unbridled Fury (man I hope they fix this soon) In a large scale fight you will likely have crowd control there so you won't be firing off too many of your encounter based dmg dealing AOE's. But anything that ups your defense or interrupts epic mobs is a must. Anarchy is by far the best one though and the one I advocate the most. Boosting you mitigation against all physical and boosting the dmg from Anarchic Swing for 40 seconds out of every minute is too good to pass up.

The buffs atm do not scale worth a [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] so basically they are waste, so concentrate on best damage adepts and possibly upgrading ur self defensive/parry buffs, taunts are ok to get but really be honest do we really need more hate than we get already?? Promise of violence is probably best taunt we have btw and for anyone to disagree doesnt really know [Removed for Content] that CA does.. hit that one time and BAM you WILL get agro I cant really remember which adpet3's I got first but I will agree anarachy is a good one.

-Pyskil 50 Berserker <Chaotic Legion>

I was finally lucky enough to get my first T5 rare and after reading all the boards, I have decided to go with the Anarchy upgrade. I used it last night and like everyone has said, it's amazing and I am very happy with that decision.

My guild is doing a Darathar raid this weekend. From what I understand the MT is not allowed to proc at all during the encounter. Does that mean that I can not cast Anarchy during our encounter?

I wouldn't buy any Adept 3's until after combat changes go live.

I've been hearing from people that all kinds of skills have been moved around. Say a skill was a 700 dmg smack to the face at level 45. They've made some abilities into buffs, some abilities into this or that. Then what they've done is change over whatever adept 3/master 1 you had in that level range and converted it to the new skill. So basically if you paid a fortune to get a good skill, they might have just changed it into something completely different.
