Lets talk about weapons...

<DIV><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" size=4>So I am a 28th Zerker who is gearing/spending for 30. I am in ok gear right now and I go mostly sword (Sword of Thunder) and Board. I plan on continuing this trend into my thirties. I have ONE feysteel cluster that I found. I was going to make a weapon with it. I was going to have it imbued. On that note what are your experiences and your choices? </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" size=4>I was going to go with Assault Axe, because it is a bit slower (and getting more benefit from 'Zerk'?) and does more damage than a longsword.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" size=4>I was also looking at Morningstar, even more slower but more damage.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" size=4>I thought that Longsword was too fast and would reach the rumored 'soft cap' on haste and be a waste.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" size=4></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" size=4>I am also hearing nice things about Zerkers and two handers. <P>My suggestion is to have both, 2h and a Shield 1h combo. </P> <P>And to the guy who told you 2h does not increase DPS is pretty much stupid. Special for zerkers and at highend when you get Haste buffs and Zerk state. You do alot more damage then a 1h, special if you have a high proc weapon it procs more with more Delay even though you are hasted droping the delay down, not sure if they are going to fix this with combat changes or not. </P> <P>I Raid every night, so most of the time, im just a DPS machine and always use my Prismitac 2h (of course switch for the immunes/resist epics so I have alot of different types of weapons) and when we have few guardians on. I get asked to tank, so I always have 1h shield combo just for those rare occuasions. But in regular groups when im MT, it really depends on the sitiuation and type of healer you have whether to go 1h or 2h. I go mostly 2h and when we have a lvl 51 + "named" I put on my shield and 1h for those. </P>

<P>You might want to focus more on your armor over a weapon, or just wait till after the combat revamp to decide my friend. I dont have the direct link (it's in a post in the Monk form that Gage posted titled: Look at this , or someting like that.</P> <P>But this post was from MG saying that berserker's dps would come from them tanking. Im taking that as you will go berserk only while taking damage, or you will get some nice riposte/counter attack skills with revamp. </P> <P>If i were you i would wait till revamp to make a good desison.</P> <P>Toodles!</P>

When is the "revamp" suppose to take place?

There has not been a set date for the revamp.  Best guess is maybe the end of summer?  But it is only a guess

<P>I too think that you should save your cluster and buy armor. You really have great weapons from quested items like the PGT and SBH and Screaming Mace and can just hold on and buy decent armor...some nice imbued stuff fer some peices too.</P> <P> </P>
