<DIV>Hi guys,</DIV> <DIV>     Quick question, I hear that in the adventure packs you have a chance to loot a new skill. Does that mean there are two skills out there i don't have? Anyone have any idea on the name of or level required on these?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Crazylabrat</DIV>

The one for BLC was a lame suicide spell that you can pick up on broker for 5-10 gp.  As for a new one from SPS I havent heard of one yet.

<P>Once you earn the gnoll's trust you can purchase a new ability from the merchant/mender in The Den.</P> <P>They are archetype specific, all fighters will get the same thing (and no-trade so don't expect them on the broker).</P> <P>Goading Shout (Taunt)</P> <P>530(ish) hate, 10% chance to proc an additional 530(ish) hate on termination.</P> <P>No Level that I could see, kinda like Rescue or Intervene.</P> <P>At lvl 50 it had slightly less hate than Bully Adept III, but no DoT or Interrupt like Bully.  Same timer as all other single target taunts.</P> <P>I'm not sure what "termination" is since it appears to be a direct taunt and also couldn't see any visual cue to let me know if it proc'd the additional hate.</P> <P>Not a bad ability, a decent chance to get a "double taunt" on a single cast. </P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

<DIV>Crazyhorse, there is another ability you can obtain from the Bloodline Chronicles aside from Unyielding Will.  You get it upon completion of the series of 11 quests for the vampires zone.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It's called Vicious Embrace (I think).  It's supposed to draw life out of a vampire and give it to you - i.e. it deals about 150-200 disease damage on the vamp and heals YOU for 100 (at level 50).  Has a 1min recast timer.  While this sounds very nice for an additional ability, it can only be used against vampires, rendering it's utility at next to nothing since you've just finished the zone!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In contrast, Monk's get a nice ability from these quests.  Not sure what it's called but it's a one-hit ability with which I've seen a 47 monk consistently do 7000 - 10,000 damage.  It has a 4min recast timer, but it can ONLY be used on no arrow-up mobs.  Still, damage like that on any mob is always nice.  Much more useful than our skill.  Consider the ability to one-shot kill the Pit Champion in SP!</DIV>

<DIV>Yah, he used to pose a problem for me.  With ebon BP+legs, the rest rubicite and a couple of Adept3's, he always killed me when I left him on about 5% health, even with my healing potions.  VERY frustrating.  I tried DW'ing, Hierophant's Crook and SBS+1hander.  The Crook gave me the best round I've had with him.  I think the problem was that I was running out of power so soon (suspect he has power DoT's).  I always found if I could use vanquish one more time I would have him, but he would always get that final hit in that killed me.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Then I got my screaming mace (finally!) and tried him again.  The difference was enormous.  I just special-after-special'ed him, stunned the crap out of him and just beat him down despite his heals.  Can kill him every time now and finish on 35-40% health.  I'm not saying that's the ONLY way to kill him, but it works for me.</DIV>

I think stunning is the key to beating the SP champ. I died 4 times with my level 50 zerker who's got raiding gear and a pris. When I used a hammer with stun procs plus stunning abilities, the difference was amazing. Try stacking your hotbar with as many stuns as you can and see how that goes.</DIV>
