ok this is for all the whiners that are whining at are so called nerf ok 1) We were way to over powered we are meant to be the 2nd best tanks in the game and one of the top DPS thats just to overpowered all you high lvl berserkers knew a Nerf Was INC it was so blatently obvious Next point people saying we'll drop are heavy armour for DPS i mean what the **** is wrong with you that'd make us scouts? why the hell don't u just go make one seeming as with the up coming changes there gonna be top DPS, SoE are never going to put us DPS ahead of scouts and mages because we are TANKS its why we wear HEAVY Armour its why we have TAUNTS you cannot argue by saying were not tanks because its obvious WE ARE if u opened your eyes you would see that you all basically want to be the uber class wear heavy armour tank 2nd best while dpsing at top and thats just ridiculously stupid Final point if u don't like it reroll another class or quit the game i couldn't care less im happy with my Berserker <div></div>
lvl 25... that says it all...

typical reponse lvl 25 that says it all yes if forgot u have to be lvl 50 and be in the uberest guild to know what your talking about i think ur just angry because you know what im saying is right i do have other chars you know i have a lvl 36 Warden that i deleted yeah ok its not the highest lvl but i know what im talking about <div></div>

lol u should have lied or something, 5 lvls into berserk imo hardly gives u detailed insight into some of the things people are "whining" about.

im half way through 27 now havn''t bothered to update it and why lie? i stated what is true and its clearly obvious people don't like it i don't really care lol <div></div>
Level 50 and love my berserker. Its a great class. Don't know about the combat changes, not gonna worry about them till they happen.

I'm a lvl 42 Berserker and I love it. And truly I don't think the combat changes will do a ton for us in general....because they are also reworking the encounters as well....but then we'll find out when things come out <div></div>

Scouts will be masters of dps, get sneeks, evacs, run speed buffs and in the case of Bards real nice utility buffs that you wont have. Your job will be to stand there and get hit while the scouts get to have fun and play the game. when your dead they'll evac and save themselves while you get to try and retrieve your shard. At 40+ the classes have balanced out and take a more appropriate place for what they do. Casters and scouts can out DPS a berserker at higher levels and usually without a problem. <DIV>Alot of the voices that are here come (not all) are from people that raid daily. The concern is (well mine) that I will no longer have a raid role, I am no longer gonna be best tank, think 3rd on list, and now my dps gonna suck. At lvl 25 you have no idea what this nerf means to a lvl 50. Unless they tottally redoing raid content (which I doubt) a lvl 50 beserker really has no place in raids on up comming changes. I wish they would change us to the orginal spell discription. Originally the spell descriptions said you gain gain offense but lose defense on alot of the beserker spell descriptions. They never implemented this, dunno why. It was my belief when I made a beserker I would be mediocre tank while not using these skills. Bad tank but decent dps when using my skills. Why they changing what I thought I was getting 9 months down road feels like I wasted a large amount of time. I feel I should be able to post my opinion on this matter (whinning as you put it). Id rather give up some defense though to have decent dps like I oringinally thought was what beserkers all about. The combat revamp has not happened so im only speculating. In single groups which I assume you only do I doubt there be much of a change and we will still do decent. But I feel like my role in this game gonna easily be filled with other classes that can do the job better on raids. Leaving me a half [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] gimped class with no purpose on a raid other then to lower the raids capabilities. I play this game to raid, I have nearly full fable, if I have no place on raids after this change, well I think Im out for greener pastures. Btw buggrit, you should care, have fun at lvl 50 as being the most unwanted class on raids (along with sk that in same boat). Again I may be way off, but I think this is the concern (whinning) most people have.</DIV>

So because I raid I have no life (a personal attack). Regardless of what may or may not of happened to you in regards to raiding, it has no bearing on this conversation. What will happen to our class atm, is all hypothetical (stated this in my post). From the horses mouth, according to sony, we will no longer tank well or have good dps. On any given raid atm, you only need a main tank and off tank. We will no longer be able to fill those roles. You say we are the very minority of all eq players, out of all beserkers that play I would guess less then 25 percent view these boards (no science here, but even less post). I am concerned as to what happens to the viablity of my class (you call it whinning, another personal attack). Your obvious concern, respect, and objective views towards other players adds alot of credibility.

Fighters getting lowered dps wise across the board. Every group is gonna need a fighter. We are still going to rock in single groups. I doubt anyone here complaning about being useless in a single group which you are concerned about, You have stated you know nothing about raiding and do not want to. My concern (and alot of people) are that we will not be viable on raids. This does not concern you as you admitt, so why do you bother being [Removed for Content] off and posting about something you admittdly know nothing about? Are berserks gonna suck? No. Do we have a viable place in raids, doesnt seem like it. (all hypothetical, but talking sony's words this is only viable conculsion I can come up with) I could be way off, rather state what I do not want to happen then it happen because I said nothing. Sony is a buisness, they want to appease the player base. This game is about having fun. Being useless is not fun to me. (call me a whinner if you want)

<P>Tanks are a dime a dozen. Lots of them on every server, the only thing that has kept them in groups thus far is the fact they could dps almost as well as scouts. The problem with scouts has nothing to do with tank dps. It has to do with the fact that weapon damage rating and haste only has an effect during auto attack. Skill usage just uses the damage from the level of the skill. App1 is lower, adept 3 is higher. Even with the use of skills many times the damage you get out of it is less then the minimum of the skill unless the mob has no reists at all. SOE gives skills then takes away the damage by stacking high mitigation on the mobs. The damage from skill use should never be below the minimum. Mobs are way to resistant to scouts skills and that is what keeps their damage lower then it should be. Haste and weapons damage ratings should have the same effects whether your in auto attack or using a skill. Haste is meaningless in this game. How many folks do you know play in auto attack mode. Not many I bet.</P> <P>Here is the root of all these problems: SOE in making a new combat system for eq2 couldn't let go of the concept of haste or weapons damage from the original. They mixed the old system in with the new and it has proven, not to work. The proposed combat changes do not take into account the very flaws that have screwed up their first attempt. So whatever comes out in their second attempt will still have the basic flaws of their original EQ2 design. Things will change, but not for the better, Some classes will get more and some will get less. Their just shifting dps from one archtype to another. With the original flaws SOE can not fix one class without nerfing another.</P> <P>Then they really made a mess when they added the unrated, handcrafted, treasured, legendary, fabled and Mythical tags to gear. A melee has to have a 20 slot bag of weapons on him at L50 in order to make sure they have the right weapon for whatever mob they fight.</P> <P>All these different original ideas have over complicated the entire combat system and is making fixing it un achievable goal. It has to be completely thrown out and a much simpler and easier to manage one put in it's place.</P> <P>SOE simply can not manage the current combat system regardless of what changes they make to it. The sooner they face that fact, the sooner they can get the game on track again.</P> <P>It's simply way over complicated.</P>
