I've noticed this for a while, but I didn't really care to figure it out until yesterday. Is Defense capped? Or am I running into stacking issues? ** I'm at work, so I may be slightly wrong on my numbers... bare with me... So I was pretty bored yesterday, and I was examining all of my skills a bit closer than usual... refreshing my memory in a way. I decided to see how high I could self-buff my Defense, so I cast: Reckless Stance (+8 Def) Stifled Rage (+10 Def) Hunker Down (+7 Def) ----------------------------------------- Theoretical Total = +25 Defense But what actually happens is this: Reckless Stance (+8 Def) Stifled Rage (+2 Def) Hunker Down (+0 Def) ----------------------------------------- Actual Total = +10 Defense Am I hitting a Defense cap (+10, aka 2 lvls above current lvl)? Or are my skills not stacking properly? Will it go higher than +10 from a group's buffs? If it's a stacking issue, can anyone sugguest a more effective way of self-buffing my Defense? I've got more questions based on the whatever the answer may be. heh. So have at it.

I believe it uses the maximum buff you have. Since Stifled Rage is the biggest +def modifier you used, that's the one it uses. It's not: Reckless Stance (+8 Def) Stifled Rage (+2 Def) Hunker Down (+0 Def) It's: Reckless Stance (+0 Def) Stifled Rage (+10 Def) Hunker Down (+0 Def) In other words, it always uses your best buff. The other ones don't matter (but you still get the negative effects!)

Great, thanks for the clarification! That makes sense.
