kinds depends on wut lvl u are in 30...but ill assume 30 and u can give more info and i can revise....

spells i use....

Weapon Shield.....nice one...only 2 minutesish

Reckless Stance....a must

Havoc...AC/Str buff

Stifled Rage...use it with Weapon Shield...short term

Battle Chant...Str buff

Blood Lust...this lasts fer 8 hours i think....a must have

Fury...counter attack...aye....procs out so must refresh often

Focus Rage...the other long term 8 hour one....Att speed and Str buff...Go Berserk

Battle Tactics....HP buff

I use all those. Most stay up for 10-15 minutes and refresh as needed.

If you have a healer....Defenetly use BLOOD RAGE! lose health with it.

As far as tactics go with HO's

1. Stomp/Knee Break

2. HO starter

3. Maul

4. Taunt of some sort....use the chant that makes me go Zerk often

I then spam through arts and do one or two of my AOE Strikes at end....Berzerker Barrage fer max DMG hit...then repeat the HO ad nuaseum.

Of course the situation dictates...but that is a default setting for a solo encounter. I must say though...i recently replaced the Kick in step one to RAaging Strike which is a speed buff which helps me get through the spells faster.

That brings me to another point i just learned on my own recently...Use those arts/spells that increase the speed...u can really whip through ur arts fast ....tis very nice. I make sure i hit one of those once the current one expires or if I double them up....it goes even faster.

When Tanking...keep ur view on 3rd person if u can and as far away from ur character as possible so u can see the whole ares around you and are able to see adds much better and text from ur team.

Im sure there are other things im forgetting and that others will add...but those are mine......do with them wut u will.

Pnaxxy

I'm currently lvl 33. Buffs I always have up:

Focus Rage

Reckless Stance

I drop this if I'm soloing mobs six or seven levels above me since it impairs my ability to actually hit them... unless they are heavy on DPS. I also drop it if I'm not the MT in a group.

Battle Tactics

Blood Lust

Battle Chant

Rallying Cry

It's on the same 30 second recast timer as Battle Chant, but stack it still increases something (I'm at work, I forget what...)

I refresh the following whenever I get a chance:

Weapon Shield

Fury

10 procs and it's done for. I usually recast this after battle just to be sure I've got a full 10 procs ready for the next fight.

Immediately before a fight, I use:

Blood Rage

If I'm solo, I only use this on groups of 3+ mobs. If I'm in a good group, I usually hit this regardless.

Havoc

I always use this before a fight... even waiting for the refresh if I have to. Usually, by the time this finishes casting, my lowered health from Blood Rage has replenished 1 tick. After this, I'm gtg.

I've soloed 95% of the journey to lvl 33.8. So my personal theories behind fighting tactics are geared towards the solo zerker. 1. I always pull with my bow. It's like free damage before the mob gets a chance to hit you, and a whole heck of a lot easier than trying to weave through aggro to pick out what you want. Also, the slow delay on a long bow makes for a very good chance of the Blood Rage proc going off as well. 2. Berserker's Barrage. I use this all the time... even on solo mobs. It does excellent damage despite the higher power cost. To me, it's greater to kill the mob faster and wind up with less power than it is to conserve power and kill slower. The reason being that you can regen your power a whole lot faster once you're done with that fight. 3. Caster mobs. When fighting casters, killing fast and interrupting is the key. Spam your combat arts and space out your abilities that Interrupt to coincide with their casting. Example: Berserker Barrage -> Furious Rush -> Maul -> Stunning Cry -> Stomp -> Mad Cry -> etc... 4. Seek out grouped mobs to fight. Our damage output really excels when you're fighting more than one or two opponents. 5. Cycle those HO's when soloing. If you use your level 3 'Taunt' to finish them, it's like getting free damage since the taunt only costs six power to use... and it never misses (important for those extremely close fights where you're low on power and can't afford to blow even six power on a miss). I'm sure there's more to say, but that's all I've got in me for now. Hope some of that helped. P.S. I should mention that I've been using these tactics to solo heroic encounters five levels above myself. Granted, the mobs are pretty gimped... but they're still hard fights that wouldn't be possible without the right tactics.

Message Edited by MillsFairchild on 06-15-2005 10:13 AM
