<DIV>Im lvl 28, I can berserk while tanking, or soloing (when soloing I have 2 berserks stacked probably 70-80% of the time), but when Im off-tanking, I hardly ever go berserk. I didnt pick the single target taunt + berserk at 20.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This is how I usually fight if Im off-tanking</DIV> <DIV>1. keep all my buffs up</DIV> <DIV>2. use raging strike at the beginning of the fight</DIV> <DIV>3. use bloodrage</DIV> <DIV>4. use enrage</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Using enrage is really the only way I go berserk, unless Im lucky and bloodlust procs, which is like 5% out of 200,000,000 it seems. When do I start going berserk regularly? Ive read other posts where people say they berserk at will, if thats the case, what am I doing wrong?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks.</DIV>

As you level, more and more of the skill replacements you get have an added chance to proc Berserk, and with Rage at level 34 you can berserk 'at will' (90sec recast insta-zerk). <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As for Bloodlust not seeming to proc very much - make sure you're using a big, slow 2h weapon while not tanking. You'll get a lot more procs.</DIV>

<P>Ive been duel wielding, figured the more I hit the better chance I have of getting a proc. But last night I bought a pristine feyiron greatmace, so I'll switch soon. I have read, in more than one place, that bloodlust procs more with a slow weapon, I dont really get it though. </P> <P>Thanks for response. </P>

<DIV>The % proc you see is not % per swing unit, but over time.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What this means is that the weapon speed has no relevance at all.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>WITHOUT combat arts:</DIV> <DIV>A faster weapon will get more swings in, and less procs PER SWING.</DIV> <DIV>A slower weapon will get less swings in, but more procs PER SWING.</DIV> <DIV>But technically, over any time interval, your total number of procs should be equal.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Using simple numbers, a 5% proc weapon has 5% to proc every second.</DIV> <DIV>This means that a weapon with a 1 second speed will have 5% to proc per swing.</DIV> <DIV>A weapon with a 2 second speed procs 10% per swing.</DIV> <DIV>But notice that PER SECOND, each weapon procs the same.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>(Disclaimer, the math isn't actually like that, but it's easier to explain)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Why people use 2-handers and say it procs more is because combat arts are considered ADDITIONAL attacks. So even tho you just added an extra attack in there with your Forced Swing, it doesn't count as one in terms of the HARD CODED weapon's chance for proc per swing based on weapon speed.</DIV> <DIV><BR>To continue the above example, if I use Forced Swing with my fast 1 second weapon, it will proc 5% of the time. Also the autoattack timer doesn't stop during Combat Arts, therefore with a slower weapon you can often fit CA's inbetween normal auto attack swings, giving an even higher chance to proc from the additional swings (compared to DWing of course). For maximizing procs and DPS slower weapons really are king all other things being equal.<p>Message Edited by Rhaaman on <span class=date_text>06-09-2005</span> <span class=time_text>02:31 PM</span>
