SBS or Cedar

<DIV>I am currently debating wether to get the Shiny Brass Shield or A Pristine Imbued Cedar Tower shield. The tower shield has more shield factor (about 100 more at lvl 50) but the Shiny Brass shield has much better stats. Any info would be appreciated. LOUD NOISES!!!!</DIV>

I don't have either right now at lvl 44, but I have been inspecting every Heavy Armor wearing lvl 50 that I see so I can look at what I should upgrade, I would say that most of them are using an Imbued Cedar.  I've inspected quite a few lvl 50s that have fabled gear, and I'm trying to keep track in my head of what most of them have on.  So far at lvl 44 the entire right side of my persona (jewelry, belt, etc...) is pretty much in line with lots of the 50s I see, except I'm still trying to finish the FBSS quest. <div></div>

I just switched back to my cedar as it helps me mitigating/avoiding magic dmg which can be much higher than melee dmg. The sbs is great, so i end up dragging both of em around to be prepared<span>:smileyvery-happy:</span> <div></div>

<font face="comic sans ms" size="2"> I use the Cedar, but if my STR and STA weren't already high I would consider the SBS. Most of the top Berserkers on my server seem to be using the Aegis of Alacrity, but it's AC is only marginally better than the Cedar. <P>I lug both around.  </P> <P>Cedar for when i really have to have that extra bit of shield factor, or fighting casters where the +wis helps.</P> <P>SBS for when i can get away with it.</P> <P>But i only equip a shield if i <EM>really, really</EM> have to.</P>

I've never seen a zerker owning rgf and prismatic equip a shield EVER, not even when tanking-offtanking raids

use a prismatic 1H with an aegis of alacrity...... 150-170 dps consistant even on raids..... ( i choose a 1H because of the possiblity of upgrade quests to prismatics in future expansions since the ......... oops i cant give too much info on the lore ) still holding out for a royal great flail for crushing <div></div>

So as I am about to do the prismatic quests with my guild this weekend is there a good reason to take a 1hander of a 2 hander?  If so I would like to know some specifics as to why?
