<DIV>I just got Vehemence and noticed that you can put this buff one someone...or yourself. Question is, does putting this on yourself actually increase your avoidance?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Bjoern</DIV>
Putting it on youself does nothing. When you put it on someone, it does not really raise their avoidence, you block and parry attacks directed at them> (this part of the buff seems broken, the people I place it on do not see the messages and others on this board have reported the same).

<P>So at this point, it's basically a useless skill?</P> <P>Bjoern</P>
Dont listen to this guy, he knows nothing about zerk class. NOOB !!! Every melee class will love you for Vehemance. Placed it on a group member, gives them a chance to go berzerk, just like we do. The good thing is, when activate it, it will be placed on you too, therefor giving you a bigger chance to go berserk. You can also place it on yourself alone. How to test this? Easy. To test it for yourself, activate it and take off all other buffs you have. Go melee, without using any specials and you will see you will go in berserk mode. Same way to test it on someone else. Activate it on a group member and he will see the berserk icon flashing when going berserk.

<P>So, the beserk aspect of this skill works, but the parry aspect does not. Do I have the correct understanding of this skill to date?</P> <P>Bjoern</P>

<DIV>As postulated in another thread, I believe the avoidane aspect is calculated as an additional chance for a player to avoid incoming melee attacks.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So, if the recipient fails to avoid an attack, vehemence will allow them an additional chance to avoid the attack at the % avoidance given in the spell description.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This is not a way of buffing avoidance higher than your current avoidance value and so there is no way to represent it in your character's user interface.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>However, this is conjecture - it will need lots of test data with a combat parser to verify - preferably on a player with low avoidance.</DIV>
<DIV><BR>"Dont listen to this guy, he knows nothing about zerk class. NOOB !!!"</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Your the noob man, flaming someone when you don't know what you are talking about. Putting this on yourself will not help you go berserk anymore then you will when Tides of War is up. It will not add any avoidence to yourself and every time I put this on someone, they get the berserks but it never blocks nor parries for them as the spell is intended to do. Its worth it to put in a grp mate for the berserking, but atm, it does not fully work. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Learn something about the game and the class before you flame someone you do not even know Florin.<BR><BR></DIV><p>Message Edited by Khalad on <span class=date_text>06-06-2005</span> <span class=time_text>12:37 PM</span>
Ahh so Florin was Pard of Najena and now Pardaillan of Guk, full time bot plat farmer. So well respected he is currently transfering off the server, looking for a place where is isn't hated and might find a friend. GL to you man, server will be better with you gone. <P><SPAN class=time_text></SPAN> </P><p>Message Edited by Khalad on <span class=date_text>06-06-2005</span> <span class=time_text>01:29 PM</span>

<P>I have yet to ever see Pard even in a group. He used to plat farm Agony in Feerrott 24/7 with his botted healer. Well he did join our guild once for a NBG raid. A flail dropped, he rolled and got mad when he didnt get it with a winning roll ... ofcourse he already had the exact one in his inventory, thats just greed.</P> <P> </P> <P>Pard is moving servers and his reputation has been ruined on Najena sadly.</P>

<P>Pard. hahahaha. That post from you is so freakin hilarious. Lets see. Back in December/Jan ..I had heard of Valur and of Khalad. Funny never heard of you until along about march when i started harvesting in Feerrott.</P> <P> </P> <P>Biggest thing was how you monopolized Agony and other named spawns with your bot healer. Standing joke on server was if you needed screaming mace starter go hail the pc Pard.</P>
Whats the matter NOOB, feeling kinda angry couse you have no idea about your class? Is ok, you can send me tells and i will teach you about skills, dont worry. For free. I changed servers couse my old guild on Najena is not raiding as much as they used to, i only changed with my zerker, my healer is still in Memento Mori. And again, dont listen to the noob, vehemance DOES help you get in zerk more . Is easy to test. Did you notice sometimes more than one berserk icons flashing? Well, here how to test it : Inspect your vehemance spell, see whats the haste % it gives. when you see an icon flashing, you have to have the HUD up and look at the haste. You will see if is the vehemance that gives it or other skills. For example, ToW gives 50%, Vehemance 48% When you go berserk, in the /show_window mainHUD.Character window, in the attack speed line you will see the increase each zerk mode gives. Each spell you have that can put you in zerk mode works independenty of each skill. More skills you have up, more chances to go berserk. Just couse some ppl are lv 50, that doesnt mean they know [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] about their class.
<DIV>whatever man, your reputation speaks for itself, enjoy your new server</DIV>

<P>The avoidance buffs are distributed at the same levels you would get an upgrade to Intervene, essentially the spell has the same function as intervene.</P> <P>It's just an assumption i made regarding the spell, that perhaps you have to be in close proximity of your target like intervene - for it to work, would not suprise me if it used the same code as intervene with only a few details changed, like a lot of the other skills which are cut and paste copys.</P> <P> </P> <P>Braellar</P>

<div></div>Hmm, interesting post... I'm a 50 Zerk and all I do is raid, usually 3 an evening, minimum of 6 a weekend, thats around 21 raids a week. I'm normally in the MT group for the benefits we offer to the MT re: mitigation and HPS etc, all my primary raid arts and buffs are adept 3 and i notice Vehemence actually does do a number of things. Firstly, it's fun to make the Guard go Zerk, and that happens a fair amount, secondly, i have noticed on numerious occations that i parry (noticable by the weapn movement and the flash) for the MT, how do I know? I first noticed it when doing a King Draylek raid, doing my usual look out for the staged adds that come running in, I'm standing in view of the King, near the entrance hallway ready to intercept the adds as the King's health is at that 'here come the adds' stage <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I havent got the king targetted as the adds have just popped down the end of the hallway, and 'ching' i parry, then again, then i go about my business of aggroing the adds, rinse and repeat. So, from personal experiance, i can't comment on the frequency of the parry etc, but i can say that yes, i have seen it in action, oh, and this was within the last couplle of weeks, as I'm not normally in the MT group if I'm on add duty, and I'm normally the MA for both the king raids.
