<DIV>Hello fellow Zerkers.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Well I just dinged 30, and I was ready to buy my new armor. However my brother who is more seasoned then I am at this game told me to hold out to LVL 32 for the reason that right now I can't get feysteel I believe he said and at 32 I can and that is the armor I want. Is this accurate. And if it is, how much Gold do you think I am going ot be spending on my new armor set? Thanks alot</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Noren AnkleSmasher</DIV> <DIV>Legion of Mettle</DIV> <DIV>Gnome Zerker</DIV> <DIV>AB Server</DIV>
You can put Feysteel armor on at level 30. I spent a total of 3pp buying the feysteel for all my slots including 1 of each weapon type. Feysteels average about 25 to 30 gold on my server though so you may have to adjust to your severs market price. One thing though if you play alot, I recomend just useing the non rare armor, becuase I went form 30 to 40 in 2 weeks and wish I had my 3pp back when I was ebon shoping.....

<DIV>Honestly, don't bother getting Feysteel armor at level 30. On AB it will run you about 3p+ to get a full set. Like the previous poster said, you would be much better served hanging onto that money for your ebon set later. Just get a full set of Pristine Feyiron Vanguard and you will do just fine. When I bought mine I got a full set for 5gp, but I knew the person doing it. If you are going to buy it straight of the market I think you'll be looking at 10g or more.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Scaraxis Frostfury</DIV> <DIV>Level 43 Berserker</DIV> <DIV>Guild Leader of The Wicked</DIV> <DIV>Antonia Bayle</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>thank for all the great input everyone, Yea y brother had it backwards and now telling me feyiron is the way to go for my 30's. He is logging on to my name as we speak and getting me everything. 6gp for everything, so it is pretty cheap so I'm happy. Now savin my money for the ebon like you guys said and upgrading my spells <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>Noren</P>

Should be a clarification that you can equip FORGED feysteel at 30. There are feysteel pieces dropped by mobs that aren't equippable until 32/33. Your buddy was probably referring to Sivril armor...slightly pricier than forged feyiron, but has some very nice stats. All are much cheaper than forged feysteel. At the end of the day, it's about what you plan to get out of it. I shelled out for a full set of forged feysteel and have been very happy with my purchase. At lvl 35, my mitigation is over 50% and my avoidance is near 68% (with party buffs). That's what you're paying for. If you are planning to blitz through tier 4 in 2 weeks, then by all means save your money. If you plan to stay in the 30's a long time, doing heritage quests, epic raids, etc. then your investment will not be wasted. I personally only party with my static for XP once per week, so I have been in tier for for several weeks and will be there for several more. In that time, I've acquired enough money to buy my tier 5 items. <div></div>

Just to clarify, forged feryion is the way to go at 30?
<span><blockquote><hr>mcconje wrote:Just to clarify, forged feryion is the way to go at 30? <hr></blockquote>Kind of depends, you'll make a lot more money when you get to the upper 30s, so I don't know if I would start saving for Ebon at 30 or not. Personally I usually look for an upgrade when stuff goes white, and at 30, there was plenty of other armor that had better stats than FeyIron, so I went with them. Then when they went White, there was still armor that had better stats than feyiron. The only feyiron piece I ever had was the helmet. I can't remember what Items I had at 30, but some names I remember are Blackened Alloy Breastplate, Coal Forged Legplates, Silvril Boots, Guardian Guantlets, Lardnelgs Bp, etc... The feyiron won't be a bad choice as a full set, but I never worried about matching too much, just best stats. The feysteel would be a nice full set that would probably last from 30 to 40 without having to upgrade at all. If you aren't rolling in money, I would say get a full suit of Feyiron, and keep an eye out for individual pieces that have better stats, and upgrade each piece when you have the money, or look around for quests that give better armor. If you have lots of money, just get a full suit of Feysteel and be done with it until 40.</span><div></div>

Definitely agree with Hunadi. Start with feyiron suit then swap pieces out as you find better stuff. A lot of the sivril is nice. If you're guilded and fight a lot of named mobs, chances are you'll get some of these for free. For example, Octagorgon in Cove of Decay drops Sivril boots left and right. There's also a named blackguard group in Crypt of Betrayal that drops Befouled Leggings, which are also decent in the low 30's. <div></div>
Due to the nice stats on Feysteel, you can still use it till Lv42 and then switch to rubicite series etc. which has better stats than Lv40 forged stuffs. But as many posters have mentioned, its not easy money getting a full suit of Feysteel especially if you are planning to get a T2 Horse. :p
