View Full Version : Good going SoE i hope the stealth defense change is a bug....
Seems like they stealth changed defense this patch.... Ran a group guild today with a pally , guard , and swashie in group all lvl 50, Pally and I had low agility and we were [Removed for Content] by greenies... while the swashie wasnt even getting hit at all by blue cons and up.... Seems like somehow they patched in the defense vs str check for defense.... [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] SoE <div></div>

I use imbued agility and stamina rings, with the right gear on, I can buff myself to over 122 agility and 163 strength. I always seem to have 2 to 3 points more of avoidance then other tanks I ask. Not alot maybe, but it does make a difference. I'm L44 and my set of blackoned ebon plate is still red to me. so thing are about to get better too. Drodo's Kicking boots supply 11 agility. can get for killing 100 nighbloods in RV. Just do that quest at same time you start Crook HQ and kill two birds with one stone.

<P>~shrug~</P> <P>Not sure what you're seeing. I was in Rivervale last night cutting down Nightbloods with no problems. Of course I run around with a Fury so my STR and AGI are always about 150/150.</P> <P>I really don't think anything was changed though.</P>
Wow people if you want to 1 star a thread why dont you post also, anyways who cares , im expect more nerfs anyways <div></div>

<DIV>Not sure if this is related or not, but I had a strange experience last night in Rivervale.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As you know from my previous post, me and a Fury have been slaying Nightbloods for the past few nights. We were doing this before and after the patch with no change. In fact I will say that it seemed as if we may have had an easier time of it after the patch. The Nightbloods we fought are the groups of non arrow ones with a Firefury, 3-4 Tormentors, and one of those [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] enchanter moppets. They con yellow and we're blowing through them. Now the second part...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So we're running across the zone and my Fury who I was with pretty much dies in 5 seconds. I ask her what happened and she said she didn't know, but she got jumped by something and it destroyed her. So I run up to where she died and I asked her if they were the blue con halflings that were standing there. She tells me yes, so I buff up and wade in thinking that it would be an easy fight. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Fully buffed up I started combat and proceeded to soil my armor. I got absolutely bent over. I was getting hit by some special attack for 500pts of damage and I got hit with 5 of those before I started sprinting away. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This is all anecdotal I know. It made me think of the OP's point though and maybe if there wasn't some change done with stats. I still am inclined to think that there isn't, but has anyone else had a really hard time taking on scout type mobs since the patch?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Once in a while i have run into mobs that are OMG powerful for thier con. Not too often but is does happen. Maybe it is to keep us on our toe's. I just try to take it with a grain of salt. (there have been a very few times that I have just about been whiped buy a few green in a row)

Hmmm.... i did 100 NB's last night for the "by hook..." quest group of 5 with me MTing at lvl 41 so they were all yellow. No probs at all - chewed through then in about at hour... not saying i disbelieve the OP or scaraxes, but maybe as mummoch said, you ran into some strange underconed mobs...? <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>edit: they have been playing around with the outdoor mob content a lot recently....</DIV><p>Message Edited by WolfShark on <span class=date_text>05-07-2005</span> <span class=time_text>04:15 AM</span>

<DIV>Scout type mobs usualy demolish me - not sure which branch it is, but the specials just come in fast and hard and within seconds the fight has been decided and either i stand and die or flee.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Some of the wasps in EL are like that - some are easy and you can fight them back-to-back as yellow con solo mobs, yet find one of the wasps which is a scout and the difference is you running for life after around six seconds.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Not sure if it's a new change though - i remember foul bowmen in Fallengate before any of these patches went live that would give groups a run for their money.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Braellar</DIV>

The only regular mobs that I think are a freaking joke are the ones with Nil Distortion <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Seems that any mob with that spell can pretty much massacre me if the RNG dictates that they cast it a few times in a row and my resists fail. I've even had grays cast it on me for 3k dmg lol. Also, Controlled Rage master is on the broker for cheap...+16 defense at 48 but I have no idea what sort of cap they might put on defense with teh combat changes <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

Hey! what was that 1star for? I was just posing what happened... wasn't having a go at anyone or even disagreeing... :smileysad:

The best thing to do is not to even worry about the stars. It's not like you should really give a hell what people think anyway. If you think that what you're posting has merit and adds to the conversation then add it. If you don't then keep quiet. It's really that simple. I follow that rule and half my posts are 5 stars and the other half 1 star. And you know what? I like it that way. =) I do think the whole idea of "stars" is flawed though. Back to the discussion though... Yes, Warlock and Scout mobs seem to tear me up. I still stick by my original feeling that nothing has really changed... yet. <div></div>

<DIV>No, i know, it just annoys me when some people are pathetic enough to 1 star a simply factual post, which didn't even express an opinion, and <STRONG>with no explaination</STRONG> - i don't see how you can <EM>disagree</EM> that i went there and got killed....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It's not like i care who what you think (whoever it was) but i hate that you did it anyway - it's more of a "you didn't add to the thread in reply to me, so you obvously don't have an opinion of your own that even <EM>you </EM>think is worth hearing, so don't bash my post" thing basically.... :smileymad:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyway, yes, back to the discussion at hand (this time i'll post an <EM>opinion </EM>- so you <EM>can</EM> disagree now and even 1 star if you like... :smileywink: )</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Yeah, scout and warlock mobs tear me up too if i'm not quick with the stuns and interupts, but my point was that i tried to take down the same mobs as the previous day and had very different results and both were after the OP started this thread...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So for now I think this is a mob con bug or something like that, rather than a steath defence change/nerf.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
