How to stop AE?

I was wondering about that too. It's just shocking to see your char performing an AE-Attack when you notice a non-aggro mob spawning next to you. Seems there's no chance to stop an action once you clicked on the button. <div></div>

<P>I think the wrost is some ppl blame me not to assist the MT or breaking the mez by ae swing. These ppl unforuntely are lv 45+. </P> <P>Last time, I was with a group to do the ring part at CT. We got a enc in the group, so our strategy was to mez them, and kill one by one.</P> <P>I was lv46 only, so the MT was the lv50 bruiser.</P> <P>Everytime the mod pop, they all rushed to attack me....(anyone can tell me why?)</P> <P>U know I will ae swing proc...........even I didn't click any ae skill button.</P> <P>OK, they blamed me to break the mez and should not ae attack.......lol</P> <P>Finally, they shouted at me to put off all my ae proc buff.....ok, i cancelled all buff.....</P> <P>The x2 raid boss pop.......I didn't attack since I waited the enc to mez them. The funny is the bruiser die in 3 sec................lol</P> <P>No doubt we all died...</P> <P>When we disband, they said I should not ae and break mez. They believed we can finish the ring part if I didn't break the mez.....(I think we can't since we get only one healer....lol)</P> <P>PS. I have very funny experience last night when i making the way to CT by horse. When the green mod attack me, I see some organce numbers pop up on them. The funny is I do not in battle mode......So that means I counterattack even not in battle mode!! Anyone has the same experience too?</P>

If your group's strategy for an encounter is to mezz the hard things and pick them off, then you should avoid breaking mezz - and generally, the ones that break mezz are the AE-proc types: Blood Rage, Wallop/Stomp, Crushing Anvil (Fighter HO) and AE weapon procs like Hierophant's Crook.</FONT></P> <P><FONT color=#66ff00>Barrage/Assault, Stunning Cry/Roar, Slaughter/Whirlwind/Onslaught and AE taunts are all fine to use in that circumstance.</FONT></P> <P><FONT color=#66ff00>And maybe you could have won the fight with 1 healer and an enchanter, but it would have been tough.</FONT></P> <P>PS. That's basically a critical Parry, where you not only block the attack by parrying it you get a free counter-attack.If you had Fury or Greater Fury up and he attacked you from anywhere it may have procced and caused damage.
