<DIV>Hello fellow Zerkers</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am currently a LVL 26 Zerker, and I have a few weapon questions. Right now I am still using the Delcar Axe of Savegry and A gnoll slayer for single handed weapon. It is time for me to upgrade. WHat suggestions do you have for me? Do I go 2 handed weapon or duel wielding when I really want to do some damage when I am not MT? What weapons do you suggest I get whether i Buy them or get it on quets. Thank you all help is greatly appreciated.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Noren</DIV> <DIV>Gnome Zerker</DIV> <DIV>Antonia Bayle</DIV>

<DIV>I would say it's time you started your Shiny Brass Halberd quest. That's going to be one of the better 2hs weapons you can use, and would make a great DPS weapon. For soloing I would say PGT (Polished Granite Tomahawk) and possibly a pristine imbued weapon to help with damage. The PGT gives power and a 500 point ward, plus at your level would be decent damage. The proc on imbued would be real dangerous. I don't ever Duel Wield myself (49 zerker) but there are those who swear by it, different strokes for different folks.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Hope this helps.</DIV> <DIV><BR>Cyonide Wolfpaw</DIV>

<P>You could be right on that. To be honest I did that quest at 40, so didn't really check stats or requirements. Sorry for the bad info then =(</P> <P>Cyonide</P>

<P>Just to reitterate (sp?) SBH is a monster weapon for your level. If I remember correctly its on par with a T4 rare. PGT is 32 to use if I am not mistaken and is very good to use (the proc is great). When you get to your later levels (40+) think heirophants crook, then the slowest 2-handed rare crafted proc'er you can find till you can get a master drop. I believe that the 2 hander most people suggest is the Pristine Imbued Ebon Greatsword. </P> <P>Hope this helps.</P>

<div></div>Dual Wield: PGT/feysteel spatha or Whip of Deciet (both have same damage up to 39, whip has 1 more point at Lv40) until 40s when you can use SSoY (Short Sword of Ykesha). Spatha gives 4agi 8str whereas the whip gives like 9agi 4str. whip for avoidance, spatha for added damage/power. I'd like to point out that PGT's proc gets stronger as you level up until the weapon caps out at 40. When it caps it's around 500ish ward, 250ish power. Two-Handed Weapon: SBH until 36, then quest a Mammoth or Treebane. I'd have to agree with Sabin, after 40+, shoot for a Hierophant's Crook. I believe I'd go for a pristine imbued ebon executioner's axe if I were to have a 2hander crafted. Edit: -Changed name and stats of whip to proper name/stats. -Added my oppinion of 40+ Two-Handed Weapon. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Norgoz on <span class=date_text>04-28-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:41 PM</span>

<DIV>I am lvl 27, and am working on both the sbh and pgt right now. I have heard mention that the combo of pgt/sbd is good. What does the sbd stand for?</DIV>

Is it possible to dual wield (2) Polished Granite Tomahawks? I have a wizard friend who is doing quest with me, obviously he can't use PGT. Could he give his to me and I can dual wield both of them? Or, due to there status, are you only allowed to carry one at a time?
the PGT is Lore, meaning you can only have one of them. <div></div>

<P>Ok first off the Caps Lock is not a weapon of the forums, please use it with caution.<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>For your level I used a Pristine Imbued hammer(1h) and a imbued sheild tower sheild. I also kept a pair of pristine leaf blades in my pack for off tanking. Then a pristine imbued bow for pulling/kiting as needed. At 28 get yourself the SBH and then run over to antonica and start the wook boots if you haven't. This is importaint for two reasons, first you need to harvest to get the first part of the boots done and will need the skill to harvest for PGT. Second the area you will be camping for BloodTallon(might be off a little on the name) is right next to the Firerock Giants/Scout spawn, so you can get the language done to start the toby quest. When you get to the last step to kill firerocks and antalope, be sure to have the language done and get the Tarby quest from Obssidian(sp?). Then when you take take the stuff to the lady in the thundermist village you can go and start harvesting for the PGT. Also for the PGT one of the steps involves killing 100 undead, run to the graveyard in FP to get this part done in 5 minutes tops. I also noticed the other night running around in TS that most of the guys in the giant area are nolonger ^^. If the gnolls are not ^^ anymore that step should be a walk in the park.</P> <P>CrazyLabrat</P> <DIV>Edit: Doh!!! this post in going on 6 weeks old, didn't notice that till just now. Oh and the uy that started the post has sense quit the game lol.....</DIV><p>Message Edited by CrazyhorseII on <span class=date_text>06-09-2005</span> <span class=time_text>01:53 PM</span>

Everyone says that SBH is the ultimate for the 30's, but I've got a Pristine Imbued Feysteel [Removed for Content] Sword. Should I still be looking to get the SBH? <div></div>
<P>How do you get the SBH? is it a heritage quest?</P> <P> </P> <P>Rogo is</P>

Yes, it's a heritage quest. You get it by talking to *NOT ATTACKING* Dragoon, K'Naae of the Thexians in NEK

<div></div>I'm also a early-mid level zerker (just hit 24) and I'm wondering about 2h vs DW dps. Bear with me here as I've never duel wielded weapons and I'm fairly new to the game. Is comparing the damage from the two styles basically just adding the two duel wield weapons damage rating and comparing it to the damage rating of the 2h weapon? For example, I have a 2h hammer with 21.7 dps. If I found two DW weapons that had 10.8 and 11.4 dps would that mean they do 22.4 dps total? If they do 22.4 dps total wouldn't that automatically make them better than the 2h provided they gave better stats (which seems to be the case most of the time anyway from what I've seen)? Are there factors I'm not aware of that play into this because it seems to be that DW is the way to go if it just comes down to damage because the DW weapons tend to give better stats? <div></div><p>Message Edited by Brugdor on <span class=date_text>06-11-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:55 AM</span>

Well, since others are getting useful info from here, I will add my two cents, at 40+ you might find giving up an ebon for armor for a weapon might be hard to swallow, I suggest instead you look at a pristine imbued cedar pike, it is just as good as the ebon weapons and alot cheaper. Those ebon slashers also won't be any good against some epic mobs like King Zalak (immune to slashing), but the pike won't be good against others like Grumzod (high piercing resist iirc) so a selection of every attack type is advisable. At 40-50 don't pay any more then 10 or 20g for anything besides legendary or fabled, no matter how good it seems to be. (I don't even bother considering it if it is not legendary or better, but I raid alot) Hiero Crook is ok, but not on raids/grouped with a chanter, on a raid it is very important, breaking a mez could wipe it, good to have another weapon just in case, Pristine Imbued Cedar Greatstaff works. (BTW, crushing is useless versus King Drayek, remember to have a selection) You might wanna use the ebon on your BBC/EBBC, it is not quite as good as an imbued ebon thou, but the quest gives good status and exp and it is a decent 2h for 50. 2handers are nice since the proc rate on them is reletive to delay, which means a slower weapon procs more often per hit then a faster one, but being slower has less hits, it all actually works out equally in strict melee, but 2h's also benefit from extra procs on skills and being slower skills interrupt the swing less. In this way a 2h can edge out DW, but when you get DW's both with procs it starts becoming a toss up. Finally, dual wield is a viable option, but only as a non-tank, in tanking use 1h for the shield or 2h to avoid riposte. You will eventually want to use DW thou when you get ahold of real good procing weapons (PGT/SSOY are good for long epic fights) and esp wyrmsteel, the effect has limited targets, but dw'd Wyrmsteel Shortblades is just insane, the 2h Wyrmsteel Battleaxe is kinda weak in comparison and you will know what i mean if and when you try em (HINT: Wyrmsteel is 100% proc). <div></div>
