View Full Version : Can't Attack During Berserk Animation?

<DIV>Just something I've started to notice... It appears that, when my berserking animation goes off (ie: when I'm hit, and Focus Rage procs), my zerker takes a breather to hoist his weapon in the air for a couple seconds. If I'm fighting a group of critters, all of which are hitting with some frequency, it seems I spend more time acting like a weather vane, than actually attacking. I've looked for damage numbers going off while I'm posing, to see if it's just the animation, but I'm starting to think that my zerker takes an extended pause from combat whenever he goes berserk. If that's the case, it certainly seems to defeat the purpose of increased attack speed...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Can anyone confirm or deny?</DIV>

<P>I thought this was the case originally too, but from what i can see with a parser, it appears to only be the animation. My first observances i think i was just getting unlucky, and "missing" during the animation. once i turned all the spam back on for my tests, i was seeing the swings continue on even while i was throwing my hands around.</P> <P>sony HAS reduced the amount of skills that cause the zerker to throw his hands in the air, and later you'll find this less and less, you'll just flash red and continue to swing as normal.</P> <P> </P> <P>-Erick</P>

<DIV>I use to think this too - as I mainly used a two handed weapon. You carry on attacking and dealing your damage, but you see the berserk animation instead.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This becomes extremely clear when you use duelwielding weapons as they are quicker and when the berserk animation hits, you can still see damage numbers appearing above the mobs head.</DIV>
