Looking for advise...

Got any tips for a 27-30 berserker? I seem to be doing all right. I managed to keep hate in a guild raid where I was 4-6 levels below everyone else, and the other party members were 2 templars, a summoner, and an enchanter. I've got decent gear, and most of my skills are app4 or higher (3 are still app2). But, my question is, I never really got a rundown of when to use what skills, and how. I tend to keep my 10 minute buffs running all the time. I use Hold the Line after pulling, taunt, then wail away with things like maul, forced swing, knee break, and wound when I can. Anything to increase damage. When tanking, I use my shild and axe and soldier's stance. When not, I use a spear (I tried dual wielding, but despite slightly higher stat bonuses than my spear, I did less damage). Like I said, I seem to be doing alright... But, anything I should change, or common mistakes I'm probably making? Also, what adepts should I be looking to have made. I've onl harvested one rare gem, and it was coral, but, for future referance. Also, is there any specific gear I want to have for when I hit 30? Basically, I've seen berserking information, but not much on being a berserker. Thanks <div></div>

At lvl 28 you can use it, and it's probably the best possible weapon you can use until around lvl 35. This isn't taking into account the new imbued weapons however, so mayhaps you should pick up a pair of dual weild imbued weapons? Nothing quite like dual weild procs. </P> <P> .....Also, Baloks Furious Chant, the upgrade to enrage. (training skill at lvl 30) Is probably your best bet, it's an aoe taunt, good threat increase and has a 20 second recast timer....as compared to most area of effect taunts, which have a 30 second recast timer. I guess, if you're going to adept 3 something, I'd hold out until you got Tides of War. I'm lvl 45 and still use it at a constant, great skill, and very useful....even handy in maintaining aggro. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P> Finally, never forget, Blood Rage is your friend. It may take away health, but if you use it directly before engaging an encounter. You can normally be healed before any damage is taken...and it'll up your DPS a whole [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] lot for the thirty seconds it's running. <P>Tanking in raids is a whole different story then tanking in a group situation, it sounds as if your knowledgeable about how to use your skills.  Raid tanking is about how well you hold agro rather then how much DPS you can throw out (although DPS does increase hate) , use every taunt available to you and don't forget that group buffs pull an immense amount of agro as well.  My only suggestion would be upgrade your skills to Adept 1 if you can afford it, and use your power wisely on raids...AE Taunt, single target taunt, group buff, stun...rinse and repeat.  </P> <P>If power becomes an issue I would strongly suggest you get yourself a PGT and switch out weapons in mid-fight if it looks like your gonna come up short on power, 1-2 procs and your back in biz, I still use this tactic at level 48 <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>Kurrath</P> <P>48 Berserker & Co-leader of Misericordia</P> <P>Mistmoore Server</P>

Not sure what a PGT is... But thank. And, I fully intend to get my SBH asap. I'm only 27 now, but that's my goal. I want to have it before 28. And, I've upgraded as many skills as I can to adept 1. Haven't seen the rest on sale on the broker. My artisan has always been highr than my adventurer, so money hasn't been that big of a deal (I can pull in about 5-6g a night... Not great, but consistant.) <div></div>
