Heya, It seems that for the most part, the forums are utilized for venting frustrations - I know I've had my fair share of that.. But today I just wanted to say that I like being a berserker.. I have also seen the changes made to some of our abilities (stifled rage no longer queues, only cancels, etc - i'd also like to see this returned to its previous state).. But, I love to play my zerker. I initially chose this path because I wanted to be a complete demolisher of things. A real slaughterhouse. I recognized the role of each kind of fighter and took up being a zerker, knowing full well that I would not be the 'best tank in the game'... And that's just fine by me. I've found my attacks to be absolutely lethal when using a phat 2h axe with all my buffs in full-force. I go all-out and have 5 hotbars on screen at all times, and can find a time and place for usefulness of just about all of my abilities.. These days, I duo with a warlock friend of mine (both level 42) and we aboslutely clean house.. My mitigation is good enough for green and blue ^^ mobs that a healer is not as required as a good drink... Anyways, don't want to rant.. But just wanted to give some support for my zerker class - love that damage.

I love my Zerker. I'm only 25th level so I have a long way to go in the game but I'm enjoying it heaps. I was getting a little bored and frustrated when my warrior was about 17th level. I didn't seem to get much xp, life was hard and so I concentrated on my armouring (which in hindsight wasn't a bad thing either as it meant I had a full suit of Pristine Carbonite wating for me when I hit 20). Since then I've become a crazed killing machine. I can solo well and tank well. Whether I'm dual weilding my Giant pick Axes or weilding my newly acquired Berik, Sword of Thunder and a shield its lots of fun. I'm still learning the best times to use all my skills, but that's part of the game. I'm happy Fjord 25th Berserker, 25th Armourer Lucan DLere

My Dmg as a berserker is the one thing i love about it.... agro is another, the only thing that worries me atm is our broken/bugged combat spells and skills

I LOVE my Zerker. When my guild gets together to group, I am usually grouped with a higher level Paladin. He and I do quite well together, me as dual wield axes (PGT and a feysteel handaxe) and him being sword shield. I just like being the off tank...all damage and some pretty good Mitigation too.

The one complaint he has with me is the aggro i steal from him. But I think that might have to do with his taunts not being upgraded yet. We took care of that today so it's going to be a bit better i hope.

26 berserker with apprentice 4 skills up to 25 (Im an alchemist as well) and absolutely loving it. Being the highest level / best equipped tank in the guild I'm in I'm always the main tank. The only problem is that I've spoiled them cause I never lose agro and I've made it look soooo easy. Now if that silly Sword of Thunder would drop I'd really be putting a hurt on those muts Daryn Bourne 26 Berserker Lucan D'lere Royal Black Watch

Also, just because a guardian joins the group doesn't mean he should be the main tank. Unless you are doing a bad job, I wouldn't give up the MT spot if you want it. I've grouped with a guardian, a monk, and a paladin a good bit in the mid 20s to early 30s. I was always the main tank, until the paladin got 3 or 4 levels ahead of me.

Hello again, I honestly don't see what all the fluff is about regarding being the MT, anyways.. I'd much rather assist the MT, because its the MT that typically dies first!! The zerker has plenty of non-aggro, excellent assist attacks that can be used without fear of taking the aggro away from the tank.. (knee break, concussion, forced swing, followed by starting "fighting chance" HO, and letting the MT complete it with the taunt..) Myself, I don't mind being the MT, but I'd much rather assist.. I dont' know how many times I've died acting as the MT.. Anyways, I've said it once and I'll say it again - Zerker's weren't designed to be the best tanks and damage mitigation, we were designed to inflict maximum melee dps with a great assortment of weapons. Zerkers get access to more weapons than any other fighter class (guards excluded here, i think), have very good mitigation abilites, and have devastating abilities. I know my role as a zerker, and It works well for me.

Message Edited by PsyJammer on 03-29-2005 07:27 AM

I love my berserker but I must say that I will not start another berserker, I am level 39. I wanted to be a tank and have DPS, SOE nerfed our DPS a while ago, your skills are broken, since then it make it hard to like the class as much as before.

I am just a lvl 11 or 12 warrior now...but im gonna be a Zerker. My other 2 toons are a 25 or 26 Pally and a 21 Templar. Our of all of them, im loving my Ogre Warrior the best. Just started going Duel weild on orcs and just wiping them up fast. Must faster than my Pally was able to. Im an aggressive type by nature in real life and the Warrior/Zerker is great for me....nay i say...PERFECT for me. I love him. Now im gonna go hug him:smileywink:

Pnaxx

one other thing....i see that there are more taunting/hate art/spells already so its no wonder warriors have better agro hold in general though my Pally does prety well too.
