<DIV>Ive been reading alot class forums lately, including Combat, Spells and Abilities forum, and it seems class's are seriouslly hurting from bugged or broken Combat Arts or Spells. Im not going to say that anyone class needs to fixed and addressed first because each and every class forum now has extensive write ups on there problems at hand and it's not only affecting them, it's affecting everyone, whether it be a solo, duo, trio or group situation. Majority of the " This class is too powerful, it needs to be adjusted " debates are because of the combat art system and spell system not working like there meant or designed too, take a few Berserker class Combat Arts for example ( keep in mind im relating to Berserkers cause this is the Berserker forum, other class's have write up on there forum homes if you are interested in seeing how bad it really is ) ;</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG><U>Tides of War Adept 3 :</U></STRONG></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Description : Increases the offense of the <STRONG><U>group</U></STRONG> and increases the attack speed of the berserker.</DIV> <UL> <LI>Increase Attack Speed of the caster by 47%</LI> <LI>Increase Crushing, Piercing and Slashing of <STRONG><U>caster</U></STRONG> by 10</LI> <LI>Casts Berserk on caster. On succesful attack this sepll has a 10% chance to :</LI> <UL> <LI>Increase Damage Per Second of target by 5%</LI> <LI>Increase Attack Speed of target by 43%</LI></UL></UL> <P>Now since the last big patch which fixed Tides of War, because it was never meant to give the entire group haste, which is what it was doing, but since the fix, now it doesnt increase the groups offensive skills at all, it is at the moment only deterimental to the caster, does not affect anyone's offensive skills what so ever now.</P> <P><STRONG><U>Greater Fury</U></STRONG> line of combat arts for a Berserker was suppose to be upgraded to a 10 min self buff duration timer which <STRONG><U>still</U></STRONG> to this day has not been addressed.</P> <P><STRONG><U>Darkmoore's Protective Advance</U></STRONG>, our level 40 specialization is still using <STRONG>3</STRONG> concentration points and isnt adding anything to Parry skill but is adding to AC of pyhsical damage, when Weapon Shield is now on a <STRONG>1</STRONG> concentration point and is adding to Parry skill. These buff's recast timers are starting after the spell has run its course or when you remove them.</P> <P><STRONG><U>Promise of Violence</U></STRONG> never increases the STR of the caster like it states it does, ever. From the description of the spell, im probally not the only one under the impression that its suppose to ethier be a maintained spell for a certain amount of time like Raging Strike OR its suppose to give us 20 str every time it succesfully hits ( which is 80% of the time ) for a certain amount of time.</P> <P><STRONG><U>Rampage</U></STRONG> has a recast timer of 1 hour. 5 mobs x 8 hits x 170 damage = 6800 damage every hour. What is the aim here SoE, we know we arent a DPS class, we are a Offensive tank, but 1 hour recast timer ? Would a 900 second = 15 minute recast timer be asking to much here. Some people dont play any more then 2-3 hours a night, if that, they get to use this skill once maybe twice a night, <STRONG>if</STRONG> they remember its repopped ready for use.</P> <P><STRONG><U>Rescue</U></STRONG> is on a 1800 second = 30 minute timer. For any Fighter class, this would be of much more use if it was on a 15 min timer because as it is, i dont even have it loaded in my hot buttons because of the insane amoiunt of time it takes to reuse it, its basically pointless when i can just use a combination of group buff and High damage DPS combat art's to pull agro off a caster / healer just as easy.</P> <P><STRONG><U>Wallop</U></STRONG> which is the upgrade to Stomp, is suppose to hit every mob within a encounter or upto 8 mobs total. At the present moment its only hitting one mob.</P> <P><STRONG><U>Quaility enchancements</U></STRONG> to Combat Arts and Spells in the form of Apprentice I to Adept 3 have the most minimal upgrade that its almost not worth the money you have to pay for the rares or the time you have to put in to farm the rares. Like i suggested before, we know SoE cannot fully control a player controlled market system, which is not what i would expect, but what i would expect is a great increase in skills / spells especially when some of these rares are costing in excess of 1 plat and up. If there is a increase, which /show_window mainHUD.Character has shown that in the code there is quite a significant increase in some of the Combat Arts and Spells we get, but they are not showing in the windows when we examine them, numbers are not matching.</P> <P>To those Berserkers who read or post on this thread, keep in mind, we are not a DPS class, we are a Offensive Tank, asking for more targets per encounter on some of our AoE's and increased damage to those that have long cast timers will start to make us more overpowering. <DIV>Highly agree.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The broken arts, abilities and spells can make players very disappointed at some time, and needs to be addressed as soon as possible.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I would suggest SOE assigning 24 different persons (be either players or developers) to look after and take care of broken spells for each subclass. </DIV>

I completely agree with you Aonein. I will say though that I think on the list of classes needed fixing, we're down the list towards the bottom.There are other classes that are way WAY worse off than we are right now. Coercers and Furies come to mind. That said, if they want to fix out list of broken stuff first, more power to them.

I picked this becasu it says it was a upgrade to weapon shield. Originally wepon shield took three concentration slots, but after patch it was fixed to take on concentration slot. However developers forgot to also fix it's upgrade. I picked this thinking it would also take one concentration slot, hence it is the upgrade to weapon shield. There was nothing in the description to tell me this upgrade took three concentration slots. So either please fix this to be a true weapon shield upgrade or let me pick my special trainig ability again. I sent a bug report btw.

/agree with this thread all of these things should be fixed, please look into these arts devs.Heres my beefs that id just like to throw in there,I'd really like to see the group haste put back in, its nice to be able to provide a group with something other than subpar tanking.When upgrading a taunt to adept3, it really should make a more of a differance than 30 hate. rampage, its a total waste 90% of the time, a shorter recast timer would be greatly appreciated!"<a target="http://www.trinity-guild.com"><img height="120" src="http://eq2images.station.sony.com/000/000/542/741.jpg" width="365"></a>"<p>Message Edited by fierceleaf on <span class=date_text>03-12-2005</span> <span class=time_text>01:50 AM</span>

If the Bards are singing about it, it probably sounds like live kittens being thrown into a tree shredder. I have an unusual perspective, in that I have both troubadour and beserker characters. I rolled the zerker because I was getting frustrated with the negative changes made to the troubs, and because I was tired of being only a support class who can't solo very well. So, you'd think that my troubadour would be "singing a song" about the changes to buffing. No. In fact, if I were a dirge, I'd be composing downer tunes right about now. As a troubadour, before the patch, it was annoying to manually cancel a 2 concentration buff to recast it, but I was able to work around it. It was frustrating, but it did not hamper my gameplay much. Recast timers on those buffs are no more than a second or two. The patch change is a convenience for troubadours, and that's it. As a berserker, after the live #5 patch, it is crippling not to be able to recast spells that have a recast timer set to 40+ seconds, like fury. Cancelling the active spell when casting it again, on top of having to wait out the recast timer, is an incredible frustration and unfairly limits our abilities. This aside from the fact that fury is supposed to be a 10-minute buff anyway. Why can't recasting a buff just REFRESH the buff and not cancel the original one? That would solve the pre-patch frustration for troubadours while removing the post-patch frustration from berserkers. (It might positively affect other classes, too - I haven't checked out the other forums yet). <div></div>
