View Full Version : We need knock down/back!!!
<DIV>Since Sunder has been adjusted to it's originally intended level, can we have its originally designed knock down/back ability please?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We know some mobs can knock back player characters, but no player subclass can do this to mobs right now. It would be kind of cool if Sunder's knock down ability can actually knock back all mobs in an encounter. This will definitely add some degrees of uniqueness to the berserker subclass.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As we also know, berserker subclass are intended as offensive tanks, and the best defense is offense. However, since our DPS has been lowered several times since last several live updates, we really can't claim that we can use our offense to offset our lack in defense side now.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Most healers who have grouped with berserkes have constantly complained that berserkers are draining too much of their power by taking too much damages, and this has been verified by many parsed data. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If Sunder can actually knock back all mobs in an encounter, it will actually become the best defense strategy of berserkers by using offense. And this can definitely enhance the playability of berserker subclass a lot.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Flameseeker</DIV> <DIV>41 Berserker</DIV> <DIV>Nektulos</DIV>

<DIV>It would be nice if the knockdown had a little more oomph.. by the way, we have an AOE attack that has a knockdown, whirlwind or something like that, i use it all the time very nice.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>About the damage, I dont really agree. I think those healers that are complaining have been teaming with berserkers that refuse to use a shield, all my healers absolutely love me, the ubertank my guild groups have nicknamed me. I use a shield when its called for, I know my defensive skills, I know my offensive skills that buy me defense with effects like debuff, interrupt, stun, knockdown, and stifle. My armor is never blue, my back is never to the enemy, and the enemies back is always to the group.</DIV>

<DIV>Yes! Whirlwind does have an AE knockback effect. and it is very cool to see all mobs knocked down on their butts when you use it. I use it all the time. </DIV>
<DIV>My whirlwind was always interrupted when I was tanking, because of its too long casting time (3 seconds I believe). So I never got a chance to see its knock back effect. It would be nice to see sunder has such effect, as sunder can group taunt and has less casting time. If whirlwind's casting time can be reduced (1.5 - 2seconds) so it has less interrupt rate, it would also be cool.</DIV>

<DIV>Yep, it can be tough to get it off sometimes, especially at the start of a fight with a bunch of orange/red mobs all burning thier power. Try tossing stunning cry first, remember thats on a different timer than your aoe taunt.</DIV>
<DIV>Have tried to use stunning cry first and then fire off whirlwind. The problem is stunning cry only stuns mobs for very short time (1 second maybe), and whirlwind's casting time is much longer than the stun time. Typically, mobs will be wake again at middle of whirlwind casting and you get interrupted again.</DIV>

<DIV>yeah, theres still some luck to it.. I tend not to try anything long casting until after first 15-30 sec of combat, sometimes I try starting it while im still running in so that its going off as they close into melee range, but thats hit or miss too.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The problem is that most damages berserker taken as a tank happen in the first 15-30 seconds of fight, so it would be nice to see Sunder has the intended knock back function, thus decrease the total damages taken in fight.</DIV>

<DIV>I used sunder a bit last night playing around.. it does still have a knockdown effect, it just sucks. I'd say that 3/4 or more of even or better con mobs resisted it consistantly. Pretty sad.</DIV>
