Weapon speed and proc rate

<DIV>Hi all,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>just wanted to know if anyone has done some parsing and knows how proc rate is calculated. most skills give a fixed proc rate, so in theory it would be better to use a faster weapon to get max number of procs.</DIV> <DIV>when soloing green groups i often use bloodrage and have noticed that it proccs more often when i use my slower 2hander. i usually use my AE skills to make it proc, so when i use whirlfind i have 5 hits, this normally gives me a proc with my 2h (delay 2.5) but with my 1h (delay 1.4) i have to wait quite a bit longer to get a proc.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>hope i made clear what i meant.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Bomba</DIV> <DIV>Splitpaw</DIV>

Yes, I know exactly what you mean. Anytime I think I'm going to use Blood Rage then I switch to a two hander for just that reason. Without testing here is my WAG (wild [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] guess) about this. You know I've also noticed that the proc rate on ranged weapons is REALLY high. I mean at least 50% chance or more. Use Blood Rage and switch to a bow and watch the AE's roll in.I'll try to get to this by the weekend, unless someone else has already tested it.
