<DIV>Rampage will only hit 5 mobs per proc, but it will move on to other mobs when those are dead, so you can really do more than 5 mobs at a time with ease.  I was helping a guildie get lvl 49 in Perma, and Anarchy + Giants Rage + Rampage = 7 dead lvl 47 giants (2 groups of 3 and one ^ ^) in about 6 seconds.  If us zerkers could do that kind of dmg more than once an hour, there would be a huge uproar. =)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Haaz</DIV>

I'm more curious to see what it can do on raids. Or at least white con and up mobs. I mean snuffing a bunch of greys is fun every now and then but I dunno if that means it's bugged, you know?Having said that, I'm not yet 50, I'll get the skill next level and I hope it does sick damage since I can only use it once an hour.

I did bug it , several times. And it does the same thing on green, blues, whites, whatever. It is a bug that allows the spell to self activate til there is nothing to hit.I made those screenshots on grey mobs since there are very lil places where i can find white con mobs for me at lv 50, and that many.My record for now is 20 mobs in the same hit, since that is the max number of mobs you can get. 5 encounters x 4 mobs each.

<DIV>I noticed that bug my first time to use it.  Since then, I've been very disappointed in it =p.  We were doing the Epic CoD encounter, and I was MT on the fish.  There's like 15~ fish that are level 50.  When they die, it activates the Angler boss mob.  Well, our pull team was getting into position for the Angler, expecting us to kill the fish in about 2 minutes.  Well, they died instantly as soon as I hit rampage.  Our pull team got jumped =p</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I havent been able to duplicate it since then.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Rayzor</DIV> <DIV>50 Berserker</DIV>

<DIV>Being one level away from it is killing me but what could actually be done to rampage to make it less potent and worthy of a lower recycle timer?  I haven't seen it in action yet...but it sounds like rampage hits up to 5 mobs per encounter....inside of melee range...for each time you hit a mob including the hits that rampage is doing right?  So basically it feeds itself....almost like a turbo.  Right?  What if the turbo effect was removed by turning the rampage damage into non melee damage and lowering the rampage recycle to 1 min?  Would that still be overpowered?  For every weapon hit, you'd hit all mobs in melee range with a rampage proc...which would make dual wield the weapon of choice for rampage.  Thoughts?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Disregard this...just read that it only hits 8 times per mob...making rampage useless in my opinion.  One hour for that?  Does anyone here realize that lvl 50 Warlocks have Devastation that ticks for 500 dmg per mob on the encounter and resets before it wears off?  5 sec recast...</DIV><p>Message Edited by AlienRok on <span class=date_text>03-14-2005</span> <span class=time_text>09:57 AM</span>

<P>How long is the effect of Rampage supposed to last?  I can't figure it out, sometimes it seems to last longer and then other times it seems to only last for one hit...  The duration on inspect says 35 seconds, but it has NEVER lasted more then 3 or so seconds for me.</P> <P> </P> <P>Lodoz - Nektulos -</P>

<P>Yeah the duration is bugged. It last like 5 seconds tops!</P> <P>You only have a couple hits to do and if you didnt trigger a cascade event... try again in 1 hour!</P> <P> </P> <P>Also its always good to remind, always use Anarchy+Blood Rage+Rampage, for better chance of getting an almost infinite hits loop.</P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

<P>      Rampage allows the berserker to be crowd control once an hour.  How often are you up again as many mobs as the fish and crabs in the angler instance?  Not much.  PLUS, it's on a 1hr timer.  As was posted above, it does exactally what the move is supposed to do.  It does an aoe of about 200 each time you hit an enemy.  Say you're attacking 10 mobs and you use rampage.  You hit one and it works as a chain effect until all are dead, or only one with A TON of health is left.  It's not like it can be used to kill rognog in 2 seconds.  It's of very little use on bosses and nameds.  It can only kill little insignificant enemies.  To me, that move defines what the berserker should do.  It's the image of a berserker going insane and killing everything in sight.  Perfect move to let you know that you've mastered the berserker class.</P> <P> </P>

<P>reminds me of the 3 warriors clearing over half of PoFire in seconds with ramp and earthshakers. sounds like it works nearly the same here, each swing while ramp is up triggering an ae, and each successful hit in that ae triggering another ae hit. </P> <P>so on those 15ish fish, with an average hit of 200, you get 3k dmg on the first ae, and then 15 ae's of the same dmg off that first ae, netting you about 48k from that 1 initial swing, if everything hits and that's actually how it works. and it scales up a ton with even more mobs, with about 50 mobs you'll be getting around 600k per initial swing. again, if that's how it works.</P> <P>wowza</P>

<DIV>This is the exact same issue that Blood Rage had when the game was first released. I have screen shots of myself taking out group encounters in a matter of seconds as Blood Rage fed itself over and over and over until everything was dead. Like it or not, I don't see why they won't make the same kind of change to Rampage at some point as well. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It's great and all, but it's clearly not the Dev's intent to make an ability that can randomly trivialize nearly any grouped encounter. So I guess you can argue about whether or not it's a "bug", but I seriously doubt you'd hear a Dev say this is exactly what they wanted this ability to do when it's working.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So when everyone gets done 1-starring me, maybe we could discuss a better way for this ability to be designed so that it doesn't trivialize encounters but at the same time can be used more frequently and to good effect.</DIV>

<DIV>Ok, so why does it say DURATION 36 seconds, when no matter what it lasts about 5 seconds...  Yes, i can see the rampage fading when your target is dead, but  I've used in many instances where I will have 3 mobs, use rampage, and it goes off about 5 times then poof...  that is NOT what the description says, and no way in hell are you going to take named encounters out with it in 36 seconds.  Its a once an hour useless skill that has some WOW factor, not much more then a fluff spell in my opinion.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Lodoz</DIV>

well ive been using this skill all i can, to try and use it properly, and i seem to have figured out a way to kill the mobs in the epic instances without dieing and being able to kill all adds in the encounters, i have alos taken one of the raid mobs from 100-75% percent health not to shabby,. But theres one thing i cant seem to figure out, is why half the time i use the skill it will go off and not AE, just  hit a single mob  a couple times and... poof,  nothing ,,oh well wait another hour and try it again. Best thing to do to make sure it works , is to pick the mob with the most hp and a mob that noone else is assisting on, start attacking then hit rampage, but even then its not 100% effective, even when all the mobs are in melle range. theres no gurantee its even going to start AEing. and on a side note vanquish app4 1001dmg-->adept1 998dmg ROFL , wake up SOE!!! <div></div>

This move is a huge help on the Everling battle at the end of Netropos: Revisited.  There is no way my group could have completed it if Rampage hadn't recharged.  Everling is a lvl 55 ^^ (orange to a 50) with about 10 wisp mobs of the same lvl (can't remember if they were downarrows or just regular).  As soon as I started rampaging all the wisps died and Everling was at half health by the time it ended.  Massive lag ensued for my whole group with all those numbers and damage having to be calculated.
