<DIV>As the title states, which is more important for a beserker to focus on, str or sta?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks!</DIV> <DIV>Laer</DIV>
<DIV>I choose STA . </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If any raid mob can hit u 2k+ , CT's dragon HT you for 6k damage, PF's dragon hit u for 7k damage , any extra hp give healer extra time to heal u. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Caster one nuke > extra 300 str</DIV>
Sta because of raid fights? i higly doubt that unless your getting +50 sta instead of +50 str... balance it out... some sta some str... because if your mentality is STA= everything then you should have been a guard.... we are zerkers atk means alot as well

I'm trying to get agility and strenght up, and after those comes stamina, might not be wisest thing to do, but hey, i'm not that wise anyways
<DIV>agility and stamina</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>we do great damage regardless of our STR.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>and our power pool is based on STAM right? so STAM would increase both power and hp.</DIV>
<DIV>Power pool is based on strength.</DIV>

<DIV> I for one am trying to get the most STR I can. I figure there are so many high lvl guardians, SK, and Paladins (about which the majority of players think are better tanks than us) that I will never be tanking an encounter that I couldn't tank without the extra AGI or STA. I think I'll always be dps in any significant battle, so I'm going with STR since AGI and STA help none at all unless you're tanking.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>hmmm... i've often found that people dislike paladin and SK tanks. whenever i go LFG i get tells very frequently to go tank for groups or raids. It's nice having options to decide what group you want to join.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>if power pool is indeed based on STR, then i'm going STR/AGI. forget stamina... not that much gain from it since there isn't(and apparently will never be) a complete heal in EQ2. If the healers cannot keep you healed with, for example, 5000 hp, an extra 500 hp is only going to prolong your suffering for about 2 seconds in a raid situation. if that.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Stamina/HP was the ultimate stat in EQ1 because of Complete Heal. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>so again, if power truly comes from STR, then go STR/AGI for damage, power(STR) and AC, avoidance, and accuracy(AGI)</DIV>

<DIV>I think this boils down to the type off Zerg u want. If you enjoy playing the tank role more then Id say put the majority into stamina and maybe a little in strength. If however (and this is my personel opinion) you want to play the zerg class a little more true to form Id go strength all the way. I know they nerfed the strength damage bonus a bit but its still a decent bonus for that extra umpf. I myself pumped everythng into strength and search out the best strength items I can. But really u can do the opposite to get a better balanced zerg pumping all into strength and finding Stamina friendly items, or vice versa. With the buffs out there that are stamina friendly I personnely decided to pump everything into strength (even my items) and Iam very happy with the result.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>40 zerg here on befallen. </DIV>

<DIV>Has anyone done any testing at all to see how much STR effects damage?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>I am level 23... I have favoure strength alone .. (alot) all my other stats are 40-50 whilst strength is 84)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I only did this because 1) some reason old habbits die hard, and i always went for high strength on all my games <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> and 2) Dwarven pride...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>personally i think Strength, Stamaina and Agility are equally important, But I'd p[roberly go with strength and agility coz i love DPS... but i suppose stamina DOES let you live longer <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>personal preferenace...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I know i have about 48 agil and 45 sta and my strength is almost double those <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> which is prerty nuts <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> )</DIV>
<DIV>STA. Tanks need to stay alive. When HP=0 we die. You never go wrong with more HPs. One could argue that AGI helps because one doesn't get hit as often, but AGI doesn't apply to nukes. STR is nice, but damage is the job of scouts and mages. Hit points are it. Go with STA always.</DIV>

<DIV>I personally would recomend a balanced mix of STR, AGI and STA. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Let me say that I like many others have done this 3 times now. The inial(sp?) time while lvling, after the first reset and then again for /respec.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have gone in different directions all 3 times with very different results.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>While lvling I focused mainly on AGI haveing no real reason too. At that time I didn't read these forums and had no idea the effects that AGI had then. That was before the nerf. I tanked wonderfully. I could solo like mad with little down time hardly taking any damage. Then they reset our racial/class abilities/traits.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I, honestly, not knowing HUGE effect that AGI has or had in this game went strictly STA with the thought that more hps would make me an even better badass. I could not have been more wrong. The marginal difference in hps that I gained from going full STA in no way made up for the amount of a pounding I took from the loss of AGI. I was lvl 29 then and I quit playing my zerker for over a month from the total turn around that my toon took in ability. Let me say that this was the same patch that changed Bloodlust. So going from zerking constantly and never getting hit to not zerking very often (hadn't figured out other ways at the time) and getting the snot beat out of me in one patch, crushed my desire to be a berserker.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>During this time I made a monk and took it to 22 (was a monk in EQ1). I really didn't like the class in EQ2 so started playing the berserker again.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Any long story short I LOVE my berserker, will not play another class in the game. Last big patch I used my /respec and spread my pts. Taking AGI +5, STR+%, and STA +4, with power regen. At lvl 37 now I could not be happier.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I guess the pt of my rambling is to say that the minimal hps gained from going full STA isn't enough to compensate for the loss of the other stats. Even though I lost hps due to my latest choices I tank much better that before. Before a few days ago at my same lvl I would not even consider soloing a blue ^^. mob. After /respec and getting rid of all the STA for AGI and STR I am honestly soloing blue ^^ briarpaw bears in EL.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Stamina is not the end all beat all for tanks in this game like it was in EQ1. Of course I am not at endgame yet.</DIV>
