<DIV>I want to know when is the best time to use the CdG art in combat.  is it the kind of art that you fire off and it procs when the mob dies or do you have to fire it off when your current target has only a sliver of red left.  Is it more useful in group combat or when I am soloing?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Faljaren</DIV> <DIV>Barbarian Berserker 29</DIV>

<DIV>the only time its usefull is when you are stunned... cause I believe its like forced swing... other than that its useless less you run out of skills to trip an HO</DIV>

I still use Coup de Grace at 43... cheap to cast yet does 100+ dmg per cast...

<DIV>    I have never been able to figure this skill out either.  It says that you go berserk once the mob you hit with it dies.  I never go berserk after the mob dies.  Like you say, you might have to kill the mob with that hit in order for it to work, but the text doesn't seem to say that.  Pretty dumb ability imo.  Once you get Rupture they are on the same timer, so you wont use it again.</DIV>

Its just a replacement for Maul... Use it all the time.. (same time as maul). Ya never go berzerk from it.

<DIV>Does not replace Maul, replaces Forced Swing.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My first attack in every combat is Maul.   </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Dont have to kill it with Coup De Grace, just gotta get the shoot in just before the mob die's, but that's pretty hard to do with alot of caster's in the group.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Taemek Frozenberg 40th Berserker<BR>16th Outfitter<BR>Blood and Ice<BR>Everfrost Server<BR><BR>Enlightened Aonein Amillion ( retired )<BR>70th Stone Fist of The Celestial Fist<BR>Five Rings on Luclin Server</DIV>

<DIV>I have tried numerous ways and times to get this to work, from killing the mob with it and hitting right before the mob dies. I has NEVER made me go berserk. /shrug No idea if this is broken or the chance to proc is so small that I havn't been lucky enough to make it proc. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Either way pretty useless execpt as an ability to use while stunned.</DIV>

<DIV>Just curious, what is 'proc'?</DIV>

<DIV>         omg, the programers for this game needed to take a technical writing class in college.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>"Casts Berserk on target when target dies this spell will: "</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>         They should have said "Casts Berserker on caster, when target dies this spell will:".  The way they have it makes it seem like you go berserk when you die after using this ability or you cast berserk on your enemy.  There are so many spells that have ambiguous wording that it's funny.  Look through your spells one day and have a laugh. <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<blockquote><hr>Dalensbane16 wrote:<DIV>Just curious, what is 'proc'?</div><hr></blockquote>Proc is short for process. Old term that was used a lot in EQ1 but not sure where it originated. It's usually used in reference to the "process" of a weapon firing off it's spell, but in this case it just means an effect going off. In theory, if you hit a mob with Coup de Grace, and it dies, the spell should "Process" (proc) and you should go berserk.A common example is the Short Sword of the Ykesha. It has an inate spell on it that goes off sometimes when you hit something and does a bit of extra damage. When the spell goes off people will say it "procced". You'll also hear people asking "How much it procs", or will say "it's got a great proc on it".<p>Message Edited by Dashel on <span class=date_text>02-23-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:32 AM</span>

<DIV>I bet thats probably what the skill is doing and why we never see the effect... cause it casts berserk on dead mobs... :smileyindifferent:</DIV>
