Money Stratagies Please (GOD THIS [FAAR-NERFED!] GAME!!!)

Its so frustrating because I'm just coming out of Starwars Galaxies and I was so rich in that, money never bothered me enjoying the game - in this its a demon!</DIV> <DIV><BR>Does anyone have any sound (IN DEPTH) stratagies for getting money. <DIV>steal your moms credit card (the one you probably used to pay for the monthly fee) and buy 10 gold off a website.  Its about 7 bucks.  I know allot of you are going to say stuff like "thats cheating" and "thats the easy way out".  The way i look at it is; I work hard at my career to make real money, dont have time to farm for copper for hours.  Any way 10 gold goes along way, especially in ur 20s</DIV>

10 gold doesn't go very far, the breastplate I just bought at level 28 was 5.5 gold. bracers were over 2 gold each, skills are 1 gold each or more, etc...

You either farm mob drops for hours or you craft for hours. There is no easy way to get by. I started out as an adventurer, but became an artisan for specifically this reason. I've amassed quite a fortune in the last couple of months, so now I'm at the point where I can resume my career as an adventurer and twink myself to my heart's content. There's a balance here that was purposely implemented. If it was easier to make gold or plat, then the crafters (like me) would simply raise their prices...then you'd be in the exact same position. If you want something...save up for it...if you want 10 plat, it'll take you 2 to 3 months ligitimately, or as suggested, buy it off the net. Sounds like you expect things on a silver platter. Don't be too eager to reach endgame...there ain't much to do there it seems.If the changes on the test server come over, then most gear will need to be "attuned", so if you spend $200 real money to twink your character's gear, it will be absolutely valueless within a couple week's time. Oh sorry, you'll be able to sell your 1 plat armor set back to a merchant for about 50 silver. <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<DIV>Farming the idols off the giants is a decent way to make money, they drop alot and can sell them for 5-10g on najena.  Also Stiletto is really near the giant crater-- you can farm his orders, they sell for about 10-20g.(he is pretty rare but ive seen him as much as three times in one night.)  Also you can farm palladium torques in edgewater sewers, the sell for about 1p.  Other then that you need to tradeskill, but since the got rid of dependency, every guy and his brother can make anything, but im sure there still be some sort of market.  You can try do some serious foraging and possible get a rare, also go rainbow hunting and use scryer stones.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
