<DIV>I just found a rough ruby in one of my bags.. Some how I failed to notice it while harvesting.. anyway.. what 40-50 skill would u guys go for? I'm thinking either Stunning Roar, Frenzy, or Vanquish..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Stunning Roar @ adebt1 does nice AE dmg .. about 200-300 dmg per target and if there's 3-4 tagerts that spretty nice ..</DIV> <DIV>Frenzy @adebt1 does like 500-600 dmg at times, or misses completely <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV>Vanquish does around 400-600 dmg also, but can miss</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Anarchy all the way. :smileywink:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Taemek Frozenberg 38th Berserker<BR>16th Outfitter<BR>Blood and Ice<BR>Everfrost Server<BR><BR>Enlightened Aonein Amillion ( retired )<BR>70th Stone Fist of The Celestial Fist<BR>Five Rings on Luclin Server</DIV>
<DIV>i'm 45, so i dont know the spells above that, but ones that I would consider are these:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anarchy- Great spell, i have the adept 1 on this, and get procs in the 380 range per hit with this. (also a HUGE taunt)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG>Mutilate- If you parse your dmg you know why i say this one. This would be the hands down #1 choice!!!!!! Fast recast, high dmg, lots of ticks, nuff' said. </STRONG></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Frenzy- Great spell, nice hits, have app4, and its nice, but like you said, when it hits its great, but miss and they all miss, recast is kinda slow.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Vanquish- another great dmg spell, but again, slower recast and chance to miss puts it backseat to mutilate and anarchy until you have upgraded them first. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Might just be me but if you plan on being a good zerker you will need to be able to main tank.. and if you want to do endgame you will need to be able to MT raids.. and that will require all tanks and secondary tanks on raids to have adept 3 of all taunt skills.. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Fearsome Shout at 50</DIV> <DIV>Bully at 45ish</DIV> <DIV>Hold The Line (great agro skill however adept 3 doesnt exist currently as the spell isnt in the artisan book)</DIV> <DIV>some lower level taunting blow i think stacks w/ all these..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>A ruby runs for like 3.5pp on my server (Najena) at the moment for out of guild sales.. That's a hefty drop for an extra 100dmg for 1 skill per fight.. To raid successfully your healers need adept 3 heals.. and your tanks need adept 3 taunts hands down..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'd definitely go this route and I plan on getting both of my high level taunts adept 3s in the next week.. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV><p>Message Edited by CreativeBetaHandle on <span class=date_text>02-16-2005</span> <span class=time_text>11:31 AM</span>

<DIV>A good zerker would realize that Anarchy is arguably the best taunt in the game. The power requirements are nil, the proc damage is unbelievable, fast recast and the hate generation is phenomenal. I'm at a loss as to how anyone could ever lose aggro once they've acquired this skill. When you run out of power fighting that raid mob, this is the one ability that will keep the group damage coming and the mob permanently fixed on you. In my opinion, any other tier 3 ability is a distant second as far as consideration for Adept III is concerned.</DIV>

You know, other people in the group proc Anarchic Swing as well. So this "massive taunt" is also being done by other meleers in the group.

<DIV>You do know that Anarchy is a 300ac buff right? not some kind of damage procing ability...</DIV>

<DIV>Anarchy also is a short lasting spell w/ a longer recast then it actually lasts on you.. I use buff agro all the time on large encounters and it works very well.. However, in order to steal agro from that many ppl when you have bards and whatnot all using skills I use all of my buffs.. Screaming Fury, Tides of War, Destructive Rage, War Chant and Anarchy..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Destructive Rage and Screaming Fury on the same recast timer but they are well worth stacking on a 1:30 rotation since they each give a good amount of HP as well as increased attack speed..</DIV>

"You do know that Anarchy is a 300ac buff right? not some kind of damage procing ability..."You're level 50 and don't realize that Anarchy adds a dmg proc? Wow.It gives as much aggro as any other buff.

<DIV>I've known anrachy is the biggest taunt we have since getting that skill... However!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Some skills don't improve with spell upgrades, and my thinking was anrachy might have been one of them...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As to the person saying you can't lose agro if you use anrachy, not true... There are many other offensive/defensive buffs in the game from other classes that will out taunt anarchy. If a bard buffs during an encounter or just as you pull, good luck getting agro even with anarchy! Or for that matter, if any player wants agro the easiest way to get it is taking it from the very beginning of an encounter. It's one thing holding agro, its another thing to take agro back once you've lost it. That's why group members need to be careful and let you at least taunt the mob once or twice before unloading.. But if you're 50 most likely who cares, just kick the crap out of it no one's gonna take much damage anyway.</DIV>

<DIV>BTW, I just got two more rubies last night .. from chests..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Guess I'm going to go with 1 taunt skill, 1 buff skill, 1 offensive skill for adept3.</DIV>

<DIV>"You know, other people in the group proc Anarchic Swing as well. So this "massive taunt" is also being done by other meleers in the group."</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The meat of the hate generation is coming from casting the group buff, not the actual procs. What makes it such a great aggro holder is it's short recast time and miniscule power consumption (compared to any other group buff). You can actually regen power faster while in combat than you can deplete it by chain casting this group buff. Anarchy is probably one of the most unique and useful abilities a berzerker gets. The AC is icing on the cake and the usefulness of the proc goes without saying. It's very gratifying as a berzerker to be in a group of mainly melee dps'ers and use Anarchy in the middle of a tough fight then watch the mob get shredded. The increase in group dps is glaringly noticeable by watching the mobs health bar alone. </DIV>

War chant has a shorter recast and quicker cast. Consumes more power but if power isn't an issue, I go with that. I'm always hitting Anarchy as soon as it pops anyway.

<DIV>Level 31 berserker so i can't really offer any suggestions but i just wanted to know what these two words meant which were mentioned in posts above. 'Parse' and 'Proc'. </DIV>

Parse means to take the log file from the game (taken using /log) and parse the data to find out information like damage per second.Proc is something to describe an effect that is triggered by something else. A melee proc would be an effect that is triggered by meleeing (such a 100pt nuke on a weapon).

<DIV>So far I did anarchy and fearsome shout in adept3, I had adept1's before.. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>very disappointed..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Fearsome shout went from "Increase threat encounter by 523" to something in the 530s. Don't remember exact number.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anarchy increased its damage proc by like 15 points of damage, everything else being equal.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Will probably do Bully next since I only have App1 for that and it seems to work on all raid mobs so far.</DIV><p>Message Edited by snapgorth on <span class=date_text>02-21-2005</span> <span class=time_text>09:21 AM</span>
