<DIV>So here's the deal. My guild wanted to run a couple of our members into Nektropos Castle to kill Everling.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>"We're just gonna run in and kill him for the quest real quick like."</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sounds fine I said to myself in a happy and content manner. I've killed him a few times and we have a 41, 42 and 43 going with us (I'm 40) not to mention the 35 and 33 going in that needs the quest update for Hadden's Earring.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We had to kill the sisters again, no problem. We lay 'em to waste all quick like with no problem whatsoever. Lets find the Key to the bedroom... check. Lets kill the guy with the sword.. check... in through the bookcase. Ok, we find Alexa, find the secret room with the bookshelves and are off to find Ollix's tomb. The rest of the group was in a seperate channel in our Ventrilo server, why they moved is beyond me as they were they only ones on and the only ones talking. No biggie, I needed a break from all the chatter. I'd like to note that group chat and guild chat were well on their way to being prime examples of communication as that's how they were talking to me since before we started a Nektropos run. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am the main tank mind you. Being a 40 berserker has alot to do with that as well as the only other tank classes were either 5 or more levels lower or wisely in another group in a zone far far away. Despite the numerous and ferverous attempts to be sidetracked: "oh we need to wash the dishes in the parlor before we spawn elise," "don't forget to run in a circle 3 times before ascending the stairs leading down," "hey cool! my health bar is red!" and other such miscellaneous ramblings...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We are looking for the tomb where alexa turns on us and then spawns Ollix. At least that's what I thought we were doing. Apparently a quick run in to kill Everling involves running all higglety pigglety through the cellar whilst plotting a devious way in which to get sidetracked. Well they don't seem to know where they are going with all that running about to and fro, maybe they don't know the way... I myself got turned around a few times and it took me a while to find the attackable Alexa. Ah! There she is! Lets get this party started! She should be gray and she is but when I walk up to her she turns green? I can hold her off easily enough, and probably take her.. no biggie, but why are we missing a group member? She starts hitting me.. I'm resisting most of the spells and everything else damage-wise is miniscule.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Hmm, lets get my anarchy up (its a group AC/STR buff and grants extra attacks) which draws alot of aggro... by the way, did our 43 go link dead? I see the "left the group" message but no linkdead. Why do I hear spell effects from my group but they aren't here?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If the 43 went linkdead some of the stuff would turn green so maybe they got jumped. They're spending mana, and losing health.. woah! lots of health.. what's going on? My Anarchy goes off and a few moments later I start taking a good amount of damage, but no mob aside from alexa in sight. Maybe I drew aggro from them when I buffed with Anarchy? Great, a bugged mob I'll wager. I'll find the group and the healer and refortify our lines. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I start to head off but with all the riposting (whichs relocks the target and makes you turn around when running) I wound up dropping by some stairs near a secret door (I think leading up to the bedroom). Well if the 43 did go LD and alot of stuff turned green, then it's just a mistake... everyone is getting jumped and we'd be lucky to not wipe. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Strangely enough, this was not the case. They did not die. They couldn't reinvite the 43 because they were locked in combat with bugged mobs. But at least the 43 didn't go link dead! It turns out he DROPPED group so the others could take the two named bugs that spawn in the cellar.  Once the mobs were green they would drop loot. I mean sheesh, makes sense right? As long as you let the main tank know right? Heh, I mean it would be silly to let the main tank run around looking for the next quest mob to pull while you run off and fight mobs for loot, isn't it? Silly indeed. Maybe I'm the silly one? I guess one of the other scouts could tank it anyway right? Or maybe the lower level tanks with enough healing support right? Two double undercon greens should be no problem right. Well it'd be a problem for the 33 and 35 tanks because it'd be two yellows or two whites depending on who's tanking. I dunno, could a 41 scout tank em alright? I know I could tank it well enough with little drain on the groups resources. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I guess they preferred to burn all their mana killing only one of the named bugs while the other one (because you can't pull the left bug without the right one!) wailed on them and apparently me after I used Anarchy. As it turned out, a named bug and three golems wound up trapped in the bugged state and were wailing on various group memebers.  I managed to get them unbugged after I was rezzed... a neat little trick that seems to work, if someone else has aggro from a bugged mob, let them go to a different elevation level and use Anarchy and other high aggro buffs to make em switch targets, if you have aggro, let someone else draw em away with buffs/heals... it usually works.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So anyway, I figure out after the whole mess (and after the attackable Alexa goes MIA) that they had planned this whole fiasco without letting me know... not intentionally I'm sure :smileymad:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What I'm asking for is a Berserker ability that lets me pop into my own little zone with clones of all my friendly Guildies or Groupmates so I can beat the everliving tar out of em and have the whole deal play out to them as a video flashback throughout their next hour of gameplay. We'd need new abilities for this zone like Rend Arms, Bone Snap, Eye Gouge, Spiked Knuckle Noogie and DIE-DIE-DIE-STAB-STAB-STAB-RAAAAAARRRRGGGHHH!!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Is that too much to ask?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

All they had to do to start the adventure was walk down the road. So they just begin to walk, and they start boasting to each other, and then the Fighter says to the Wizard, "Bet you 5 gold pieces I could hack my way out of a blue whale in 30 seconds."It all went downhill from there!

So we proceed to clear all the towers, get the lockets, then down through the secret door. At this point we struggle to find Alexa in the basement, we start to split up looking through all of the secret passages, doors, within this labyrinth. We finally find alexa, then are instructed to visit another NPC (capt I believe). Well here is where things go to [FAAR-NERFED!].</SPAN></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana color=#66ff00 size=2><SPAN class=036515915-15022005></SPAN></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana color=#66ff00 size=2><SPAN class=036515915-15022005>We dispatch the Capt, and are on our way back to find Alexa and then Everling we presume, when one of our healers falls through the world. Well great we have one healer left, so we figure we will give it a shot with one of our players under the world. We finally locate the Everling encounter, so we start to prep, as the healer that fell through the world is trying to get semi close to receive creds for kill.</SPAN></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana color=#66ff00 size=2><SPAN class=036515915-15022005></SPAN></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana color=#66ff00 size=2><SPAN class=036515915-15022005>Long story short, the healer that fell through the world caused our encounter to get bugged, we cant attack anything, yet they can attack us, so we figure well start the everling script and maybe they will be attackable? Nope Everling nor any of the other mobs were. So we proceed to get our [Removed for Content] handed to us, couldn't get anyone out of game to log back in and rez the second healer. </SPAN></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana color=#66ff00 size=2><SPAN class=036515915-15022005></SPAN></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana color=#66ff00 size=2><SPAN class=036515915-15022005>All in all we spent 4 hours on this event only to have a bugged encounter screw our efforts. </SPAN></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana color=#66ff00 size=2><SPAN class=036515915-15022005></SPAN></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana color=#66ff00 size=2><SPAN class=036515915-15022005>Note: We had bugged mobs left and right throughout this whole [FAAR-NERFED!] event. Not sure about that being a lvl 28 I was grouped with someone 8 levels below me so they could get a shard I was killing a few things while he did that and he was getting credit for what he needed. I was under the impression there was a 6 level limit for credit.

It's six levels difference or 75% of the highest level character, whichever is greater. Thus, a 6th level can group with a 12th level; a 24th level can group with a 32nd level (32 * .75 = 23), 8 levels difference; a 30th level can group with a 40th level (40 * .75 = 30), 10 levels difference, etc.Not sure how you did it with a person 8 levels below you, Maccus, as 28 * .75 = 21. Are you certain he was 20th?<p>Message Edited by FamilyManFirst on <span class=date_text>02-15-2005</span> <span class=time_text>12:11 PM</span>
