<DIV>I don't know about you guys but I (26 Zerker) think we (maybe everyone, dunno) got hosed. Yeah we have that special XP bar now (and I appreciate the double xp ya better believe that) but [FaarNerfed!] happened to the agro/power of mobs? I and a full group (2 of which I group with often) were hunting Giants in TS (not unusual) and were getting SMOKED! Our healer was a 27 Warden (and we had a 22 Templar) and they could not keep us alive. We were fighting a white up up Giant when a yellow up up poped on us (no named) so we just stuack around to kill them both (no big deal, we have killed adds like this all the time, a group of 6 with two healers 2 tanks and 2 higher DPS) but not this time.... nope...... we all got slammed <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> We then noticed how the MT hp's were dropping like crap all over the place. It happened so fast we could not really tell if the MOBS were just hitting harder or our ac was not working enough<img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also it seems the AGRO range of those suckers went way out (the giant that pooped was like 2x the distance for a regualr pull post patch). <DIV>Also, what is up with AC now? Now it is like all the scouts (and even crusader clases) have just as much (or higher) AC than I do? I don't like this at all. How I am suspoed to tell a group I am better at tanking when I have an SK telling me they have 10 points more ac? Or a scout that has the same? <DIV>Well let's see....Saturday we killed a named lizardman group in CT I was 42. We go back with the same group last night and now I am 43 and we wipe to him. This guy just tore through me. I think something with AC was borked. And definately something with exp was changed. I posted in a thread in the combat forums explaining my findings.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Fury has a smaller duration and you can no longer cast fury and greater fury at same time. I don't know if it actually stacked before, but both icons would come up, maybe they fixed this since you should only be able to cast one. Let me just say this: The mobs in EL( the lvl 40 ^^ nightblood demons) that we were doing easily the day before patch, were basically taking us to the limit, and in fact we died a couple of times, we were BOTH taking A LOT more dmg, and the fights lasted longer because we were either missing more or doing less dmg. They totally beefed up the monsters stats and made them harder. That would be fine but if you increase the difficulty of the encounter, please, increase the exp from it. Oh and btw we were using HOs, did not matter, still way harder then pre-patch fights.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The agility buff that my fury gives seems to have no effect now at all, thats fine, we wear plate. I feel this will probably affect the bruisers and monks even more then us.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I find it kinda funny, last week they were giving us the more solo and small group friendly EQ2 by giving us more exp on the kills, that lasted about a week, since now the same mobs that we were killin pre-patch take us 3 times longer to kill with more downtime healing and regening power, so in the end its about the same amount of time to lvl as before the exp bonus to small groups. Why bother.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So no tanks are not over powered, we are taking more damage then pre-patch. Like I said beofre, I duo a fury, and that who is really fealing the strain now. <DIV>Yeah, the buffs from HO's are 6 min now (not self buffs). also I did notice XP GOT NERFED as in a LOT of people are complaining all over the boards about how they get like half the xp they did before patch 2/01/05. Also, as for the zerker who was killing the named Lizardman the day before and now is getting owned by him.... everyone is saying ac got nerfed or mobs got harder somehow<img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I have no idea, all I know is I am having the same problems you are and I am level 26 (and you are 43) so it seems to go thru all levels (atleast ours) I hate this!!!! I too (34 zerger) noticed the drastic increase to the damage I was taking last night. It also was taking us much longer to beat an encountered. Something bad happened, my AC went through the roof, but am getting hit harder, and not doing as much damage, hmmmm?

<DIV>Maybe I just never noticed before, but I'm missing with Berserker Barrage now. I really can't ever recall missing that often with that skill. Seems to be more apparent when I'm fighting solo encounters. Maybe it's just my bad memory...</DIV>
<DIV>I tanked a level 40^^ mob last night using a shield and sword with my 35 (Now 36) Berserker and had little to no problems doing so with a full 1 healer only group. Heck, if anything I feel like I'm tanking better than I ever could. I did notice that solo mobs are are bit tougher, but I'm still able to whoop on them while dual wielding. All my gear is yellow/orange as well. Also, my exp seems to be moving faster than it used to. Not sure why so many people are complaining.</DIV>

<DIV> <DIV>Perhaps it has something to do with a formula on ac. What is it a certain level (range) of ac/agi/?? the formula screws up and gives us bad results? This would explain why some don't have this issue and they range from low to high levels as well. SONY did say that only the "number" would change and nothing else. But what if that factors into the mob somehow?? Just a wild guess. I think something went terribly wrong with the update. <DIV>Ok, well I think I found out why that Firerock Giants totally smeared my entire group (who were killing them before easily). I looked at my charector profile on the net and noticed my last death was due to "A Enraged Firerick Giant" (please don't correct my grammer, I know it is supposed to be "An Enraged" but that is how SONY has it). SONY has put in these newer "solo and small group mobs" However, a full group of 6 got crushed by this thing (to make it fair, I must mention we were in the middle of battle with a regular firerock up up) <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I hope this was just bad luck and does not reflect the actual strength of these new mobs. It was like fighting 2 and a half even cons upup on one enraged upup. Oh well, perhaps bad luck was all it was.</DIV>

Pre patch we were taking them with having around 30%power left.. last night we were both getting to almost out of power.. I was getting hit for alot more and harder than the day before.. biggest thing to note is nothing changed gear lvl nothing not even the mobs we were fighting the exact same mobs in the exact same camp.. gnolls in TS..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>for one thing we had a hard time finishing some of our HO's due to new timer.. specifically the crippling shroud one were I the zerker have to finish or the slow goes to the templer... I couldnt even finish some of my solo HO's due to mobs blocking my specials which I didn't have a problem with earlier.. My specials were also not getting threw either at least 50% less likley to hit.. granted it was a bit easier before and now its more challenging which also makes it more fun but I dont like the drastic change in the HO's timer my only complaint really maybe give it another 5 secs..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
