Why is it so hard to find a one handed looted sword???

I would love to go back to shield and sword verses using my axe, but I cant seem to find a good one handed sword for anything. I am now a level 21 Zerker and havent had any luck finding em. any ideas??

Buy a Pristine Forged off the market. Generally 50s-1g depending on your servers market.

<DIV>There is a nice quest hammer from fallen gate (skull crusher?) that will be servicable for you until mid 20s...people used to sell it as well (attunable).  Also as folks posted there is a good variety of tradeskill made items across the board to check out.  You definately should consider carrying 2 sets of weaps; a 1 hand/shield for 2up arrow type main tanking and a DPS set of DW weps or a nice 2 hander.</DIV>

You can quest Sharpscar in the crypt of betrayal which will last you through the 20s. It's not a sword (it's an axe) but it's 1-handed...
