I'd like to know this too - I use Knee Break constantly at 26, everytime it cools down I hit it.

<DIV>Yes at 33 u will get Stomp, which is the upgrade.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><A href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=4&message.id=149" target=_blank>http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=4&message.id=149</A></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Taemek Frozenberg 32nd Berserker<BR>10th Outfitter<BR>Leader of Justice Bringers<BR>Everfrost Server<BR><BR>Aonein Amillion 26th Monk ( retired )<BR>17th outfitter<BR>Everfrost Server<BR><BR>Enlightened Aonein Amillion ( retired )<BR>70th Stone Fist of The Celestial Fist<BR>Five Rings on Luclin Server<BR><BR>"We are the two halves of the Flowing Circle, the light and the dark. <DIV>Only problem with stomp is that it is linked encounter AoE, so it breaks mez.</DIV>
<DIV>what do you mean by linked encounter AOE, and why does it break mez?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>thank for the info!!! </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>so does anyone USE knee break past 33?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>.</DIV>

<DIV>He means when the attack hits, it does damage to all mobs linked in the encounter, most AoE spells or skills wake up mobs when a chanter has mezz'ed them.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Your sure that this skill wakes up mezzed mobs Vz, cause i use the Crushing Anvil HO all the time with guildie chanters and it doesnt seem to wake them up, and thats a AoE damage skill.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Taemek Frozenberg 32nd Berserker<BR>10th Outfitter<BR>Leader of Justice Bringers<BR>Everfrost Server<BR><BR>Aonein Amillion 26th Monk ( retired )<BR>17th outfitter<BR>Everfrost Server<BR><BR>Enlightened Aonein Amillion ( retired )<BR>70th Stone Fist of The Celestial Fist<BR>Five Rings on Luclin Server<BR><BR>"We are the two halves of the Flowing Circle, the light and the dark. <DIV>does barrage wake up mezzed mobs? I've only grouped with mezzers twice, ever.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>.</DIV>

<DIV>Bloodrage doesnt wake up mezzed mobs ethier, Barrage does, yes.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Taemek Frozenberg 32nd Berserker<BR>10th Outfitter<BR>Leader of Justice Bringers<BR>Everfrost Server<BR><BR>Aonein Amillion 26th Monk ( retired )<BR>17th outfitter<BR>Everfrost Server<BR><BR>Enlightened Aonein Amillion ( retired )<BR>70th Stone Fist of The Celestial Fist<BR>Five Rings on Luclin Server<BR><BR>"We are the two halves of the Flowing Circle, the light and the dark. <DIV>FYI - Stomp and Stunning Cry appear to wake up mobs as well. Best to not use any AoE when grouped with a chanter class.</DIV>
Hrm, you sure about Barrage breaking Mez? I've never found it to do so - Unless I've been particularly lucky and they've been just outside the area of effect.General rule of thumb is skills with a blue background will hit any mobs in range, inside or out of your encounter but will not break mez (eg all of the Assault line). I'm only 32 though, so 1 more level to grind to find out about stomp - If it is linked encounter only rather than true PBAOE then it may behave differently.

Stomp os pretty poor damage wise. Knee break is still better on single mobs. I keep both on my hotbar at lvl 33.Any Skill that does damage to the mezz'd mob breaks mezz. However if you use your skill and it misses the mezz'd mob, then mezz will not break.PS. Yes I am sure.
Yepyep, not gonna argue with that, just that some AoEs won't hit (and therefore damage) mezzed mobs - you can furious onslaught to your heart's content in the middle of a bunch of mezzed mobs, and it won't wake any of em. Won't damage them either, but thems the breaks <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Can't say anything about Stomp really, as I don't have it.
<DIV>Aonein: Yes I am sure that Stomp breaks mez.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Gav: That is odd, I always do more damage with stomp and I have KB at adept 1 and stomp at ap2. Stomp hits the main mob twice always are you factoring that in, what I mean is it will hit the target for 40 and the hit the target and any other in the encounter for 15-20.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also I agree 100% with Gav, if it does damage it breaks mez (i.e. you need to actually hit the mob that is mezzed when you AoE), I group with a mezzer every night and have tested this ALOT. This includes (believe what you want):</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Crushing Anvil</DIV> <DIV>Barrage (only hits a maximum of 2 mobs)</DIV> <DIV>Stunning Cry</DIV> <DIV>Furious Onslaught</DIV> <DIV>Whirlwind</DIV> <DIV>Stomp</DIV> <DIV>Bloodlust (it needs to actually proc into Crazed swing, but if it does it breaks mez)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Note: Stomp and Stunning Cry are linked encounter AoEs so at times it may appear they are not breaking mez, for example your Chanter mezzes an add which is not part of the same group you are taxing at the moment casting Stomp or Stunning will NOT break under those conditions.</DIV>

Some AEs do not break mez. Crushing Anvil and Furious Onslaught for sure don't. There isn't a miss message or anything like that -- it acts as if the mob isn't there. Believe what YOU want.<p>Message Edited by AdewaleTD on <span class=date_text>01-18-2005</span> <span class=time_text>10:49 AM</span>

It appears to do this only when I initiate it and hit with it once before the ench mezzes (then subsequent strikes seem to randomly break mez). I cant get it to repeat consistently but it does happen....enough so I apologize for it breaking mez once a night. Safest use is to hold off initiating it until mez is already locked down (could be a database state bug kinda thing)</P> <P>Barrage will break mez, in general anything with a blue background is a bad thing to use with ench around (you may get lucky and miss 2nd atk though if its not close enough to you). My experience with Furious Assault is it behaves like a blue AE....e.g. break of mez.</P> <P>I love knee break its fast and generally a skill I can use when low on power. Look forward to playing with Stomp in another level.</P> <P> </P> <P><BR> </P> <p>Message Edited by CherobylJoe on <span class=date_text>01-18-2005</span> <span class=time_text>03:53 PM</span>
