<DIV>I would have liked to have seen the raw data, as it's always been my experience shields don't really do much other than reduce dps.</DIV>
<DIV>It's been my experience that they help me block more incoming damage. Not sure how much it effects my actuall damage taken per hit though. I just know that healers do have an easier time when it comes out.</DIV>

<DIV>actually i have posted my data 4 times and it has been removed within 30 secs of the post. I even tried real late at night to try and slip it by. No go. It comes down to this. shields make absolutly to difference to a berserker. Niether does AC tho. I ran these test on 175 green mobs total using a batch of each type in rv. with shield and without. the amount of dmg taken was within 400 points of each other and my ac was 2434 no shield, 3035 with a shield. draw your own conclusions.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Bhron</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>BTW out of 175 encounters I blocked 101 times</DIV>

<DIV>what kind of shield are you using? im using a tower shield and I block 40% of the time</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>don't see much difference with AC though</DIV>

Not mobs that can barely hit tyou. Also, I notice you said you tested it on greens in Rivervale. I assume this means you are in your mid 40's then. I've also noticed that at that level tanks tend to not benefit much from a shield.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There seems to be an AC threshhold required to withstand a mobs attack. Once you hit it, the shield probably won't help much beyond that. It also ups your avoidance as well. But again, on greens, your avoidance is already high and probably doesn't change a lot beyond that.</DIV>
