Broken or not im still going Zerker

After reading all the opinions and arguments of the Berserker profession I think i'm still going to pick Berserker simply because i'm more for the offense and less for defense. Any opinions on this?

<DIV>Well Trumluk here, lvl 29 Zerk.  After playing tonight and putting the parser to it I got to wonder if something magical didn't happen at 10am PST.  Went to Zek again for some testing.  Was able to consistently solo the solo grunts (10 out of 10 including a spawn on top right after a fight ). They are yellow to me.  I had all the normal stuff up and was DW.  Same test a couple nights ago I got waxed... Alot(4 out of 10 with 1 run for the hills).  Tonight no problem  parser showed dmg taken was much less and DPS was up a bit.  Either I had a bad night tuesday or something magical has happenned, cuz I'll tell ya right now my playing style didn't change.  Forge Fey, DW Kreg Axes.  BL, Tactics, Rage, battlechant up along with Focus Rage.  Pull with arrow.  Hit havoc.  KneeBreak to stop the first supa attack.  Fighting Chance, trigger with Berserker barrage and Orc Master's Rage.( That one is key... Danol,Until SOE rebalances the Beserker class, I recommend any Beserker prospectives roll Guardians in their stead.The goal of a beserker as using great damage as mitigation does not equal the benefit of the Guardian doing slightly less damage but greater defense.

I've decided to keep my Zerker as well. I will freely admit I was upset and angry after the patch and made yet another alt, but I can't seem to stay away from my Zerk. I'm only 23, but I do a pretty steady amount of damage already which just increases with the difficulty of the mobs I'm fighting. I was averaging 22 DPS on blues, which increased to 35-40 DPS against one or more yellows. I'm pretty happy with the damage I'm still able to produce while DWing. I'm still a solid tank, and yes I do break out a tower shield when my healer gives me the word. I did my testing without Bloodlust at all, so I'm sure with it on and proccing I'd have slightly higher DPS. I was going Berserk around 3-4 times a fight just with Focused Rage. While it's certianly a step down from where I used to be, I'm still pretty happy with my Zerk. I almost always MT since I mostly duo with my friend's Warden. I'm eager to test how well I do when I'm assisting. Sadly I didn't pick the Anger + Zerk, but I do enjoy my upgraded Wound which ticks for 4 more points. I also took the upgraded version of Assault, which is an AOE with on AOE dot component, that adds a nice extra bit of damage when fighting grouped mobs with no mezzer.In the end it mainly comes down to the fact that I love my Zerk. I like the style of the class and my ability to take down an orange when the mood strikes me. It helps that I'm a Gnome! It's just fun to see a tiny Gnome beat the snot out of mobs twice my height!

Thanks alot for the encouragement guys!! Time to unite as a zerker community and see if we can get this class fixed to SONY'S liking and our being comfortable with it.

Still love my level 25 zerker too. I can MT as well as a guardian if I want, or I can go mad with 2H if I am fighting blues.... love it.Zerker whiners, go somewhere else.

In Zek I solo those orcs in the mines (not the miners, the other ones with the long name that I keep forgetting) well anyway, they orange to me at 32 and when I'm done I still have more than 50% of my HP. We're still very good and Im having tons of fun.</DIV>
