<DIV> Why is SOE even considering nerfing if all our abilities aren't working to begin with. How do you get a proper perspective of the berserker with all the broken spell lines. So now i get to look forward to a broken level 50 spell, 40% less dps. and some BONEHEAD designer who doesnt know what the hell he's doing guiding this class. In all honesty why would anyone bother with a company that works like this.</DIV><p>Message Edited by ZOAR007 on <span class=date_text>01-07-2005</span> <span class=time_text>02:49 PM</span>

I say they should do a bit more analysis and fix the problem in a more responsible way. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If sony isnt scared they should be... people are so close to jumping ship and going to WoW its crazy. Many have jsut because of the Petrified Eye issue... WoW is winning the MMPORG battle right now with HUGE numbers... if sony doesnt earn the trust of its players they are in serious trouble.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But saying that the dude needs to be shot doesnt help anyones case.....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Eh WoW is a totally n00bish MMORPG, with it's own issue's.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Not everyone wants to go to WoW or even would. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I for one, if i was to quit EQ2 would not go to WoW.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>That game is pathetic in how utterly easy it is. I'd get no sense of accomplishment from anything I did in that game.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><BR>Vanessa</DIV>

<DIV>Thats cool if you dont like WoW. but incredible amounts of people do. If anyone thinks that Blizzard isnt breathing down Sony's neck right now they are fooling themselves.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I've never played the game, and I dont think I will. I trust that Sony will balance this game well int he future, as long as they can learn from these last few mistakes.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But if they ever do anything to a class like they did to Monks in EQ1 ... I'm gone....</DIV>

<DIV>The events to the Berserker class remind me of the nerf's leveled at the SK class in the opening months of eq1. Actually about 3 months in if I remember..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>AC, and melee skills were reduced, the highest level damage spells and pet spells were removed.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Mainly in a effort to make Warriors happy.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The same reason which from what I remember Monks were ruined after Kunark came out, with Warriors doing more damage then them after Kunark for oh, what was it? a year plus?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Even with all the statements by SOE about every tank class being able to tank, I believe Berserkers, being the closest to Guardians as being from the same tree (Warrior) are being nerfed due to the fact that even tho it is a contradiction to the statements about balance, they are following the same path as they did in EQ1: Reducing the effectiveness of all melee classes so as to create 1 melee class that is needed for any serious high level play.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If that is the case, then in a few months, you'll see Monks/Bruisers get nerfed and Guardians rise even higher.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In which case we will all only have to wait 2 years to be returned to a level of effectiveness.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Vanessa</DIV>

<DIV>Perfect solution............ Leave bloodlust exactly how it was except make it not get as much aggro...... problem solved. Guardains happy, zerks happy! Why must they try to fix everything the complicated way?</DIV>

<DIV>I wish they had done the same as you suggest. Remove the taunt factor from going Berserk not just from Bloodlust but from all our skills, and simply leave Bloodlust working as it was.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But OH NOES the discription someone wrote for Bloodlust was different from how it worked!! Why change the text of a ability, when you can go thru tons more work change the ability and break a class in two pieces?!?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Vanessa</DIV>

(which I did)... warriors complained, and as a result we got nerfed for the first 4-5 months and it took Sony years to get around to balancing it all back out. Sorry but right now I am feeling like this is EQ 1 all over again. I don't want to be a "paper tank" like I was considered in EQ 1. I want to tank, and I like my zerk, but I want to be wanted in groups. If things keep up I am just gonna start over with a guardian.

<DIV>The bottom line is my berserker just isnt fun to play anymore, they were changed too much. I like EQ2 alot so I might just do a reroll and hope the berserker situation improves. Or this may be an opportunity to get back to my much neglected real life.</DIV>
