Is there a quest to become a Berserker? I would assume so but I don't know. If so, when can you begin it and where does it start? This game sort of took me by surprise and I haven't read much at all about it, so I'm really in the dark about most things. Learning as I go.

<DIV>When you ding 19 your quest log will be updated with your Hallmark quest. But you can do it sooner than 19. If you are in Freeport you need to visit the Captain on the 2nd floor of the Militia House in WFP, no idea about Qeynos.</DIV>

<DIV> In Qeynos, it's a guy on the steps of the castle in North Qeynos. He is nearer the top of the steps than the bottom. I don't remember his name though. <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> He's black, if that helps. You have to take out a gnoll encampment and it's leader. This is semi-difficult. I died once. You just have to play it safe (something berserkers aren't really supposed to do, but oh well).</DIV>
<DIV>You can do the quest at 18. First you have to kill 25 gnolls that are green or stronger. When you return to the npc (Delacar) he sends you to an instanced dungeon. There are you to kill several duos of white/blue gnolls. These are solo Str mobs, not group. Take your time and kill pretty much everything in there. There is a group of raoming green gnolls you don't have to kill and are easy to avoid. When they are all dead, speak to a dwarf in the dungeonm he is nearby. He will port you to the eastern part of antoinica ,then you go back to Delacar to finish. Quest reward is a 2 hand axe which looks like a 1 hand axe when equiped. You can start using the axe at level 19.</DIV>

<DIV>Why we get a 2hd axe? Zerkers should get a duel wield weapon not a 2hd. SOE what are you thinking.</DIV>

<DIV>I am so glad i got a 2h axe. It fits the image of a zerker.</DIV>
<DIV>Too bad it looks like a 1 handed axe, the left hand never touches it, good weap though.</DIV>

<DIV>Aside from the stats, the weapon itself isn't that great. Kinda thought it looked ghetto too since it LOOKS like a one hander when your using it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I switched to dw as soon as possible.</DIV>

<DIV>ya I feel same about the 2h axe...and 2h in general.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>the style you enjoy or think of as what a zerk is..is what youa re going to want to wield..but they really fubared 2h IMO....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Seems 1h +sword I do as much with as with 2h ...I jsut don't get it...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I need to get my hands ona good Parse proggy for EQ2 logs and then go to town with the 3 styles...but right now Im all shield+1h maybe when some nice duel wields Ill use them..but I have put my 2h in the vualt as I think the damage output is sub par.</DIV>

<DIV>Are there dual wield axes for level 20+ out there?</DIV> <DIV>Something that looks more like your traditional axe then the cresent axes?</DIV>

<DIV>Only good lvl 20+ DWs I have found are drops off of the Undead Keeper (somethin like that, hes named) right to your left (first field) when you walk in the Thundering Steeps. He drops 2 diffrent kinds of DW weapons, spears and batons. I have a set of the spears, they are very nice.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Apart from this there is some store bought ones that are so so in willow wood.</DIV>

<DIV>Yeah, I'm a dwarf berserker and the 2h axe that you get for the subclass quest looks like no more than a hatchet.</DIV>

<DIV>Why are tanking classes using dual wield? Doesnt the amount of ripostes hurt you?</DIV>

<DIV>Hello all,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am in the process of killing the Gnolls for this subclass quest. Is there some reason I wouldn't get credit for green classed gnolls? I did some extensive hunting in Black Burrow with a group of four but didn't receive credit for the gnolls I killed that were green+. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks for your help,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>I went out into Antonica and killed runecasters warlocks and battlers, got credit for all.</DIV>

<DIV>I did Battlers which are close to Black Burrow. It took a little while since people tend to hunt in that spot, but it was safe and I could kill other stuff while I waited. </DIV>

<DIV>There are several groups of them near the oracle tower landing that get camped far less than the ones near BB and the Steppes</DIV>

<DIV>I tried last to kill the gnolls in the seculded valley. Unfortunely I the spirist in the stonehedge killed me. Twice. Do I have to kill everything in the valley? I am lvl 18 and had no trouble with anything but the Gnoll Spritist. It wasn't even close. They mopped up with me. The quest says to kill the leaders, which I did, but nothing happened so I attacked the spritist. Can anyone tell me which gnolls have to die? </DIV>

<DIV>First Quest - kill 25 gnolls: You need to kill blue or harder gnolls, greens don't count</DIV> <DIV>Second Quest - secluded valley: Doable at 18, just skip the 3 white casters mob group inside the ring of stone,</DIV> <DIV>everything else is fair game, even the green group encounter ...</DIV>

I'm guessing that us Freeport residents won't get Gnolls?

<DIV>In Freeport you go to the Captain in the Militia house (name escapes me but on 2nd floor). She will send you on a quest to retrieve evidnce that the dervs are behind a plot. Go and kill a dervish messenger (in the west area of the commonlands...if you stand on road West of druid ring you will see plenty) and come back to her. Then she sends you to the serpent sewers to help a militia agent (go through big bend into thieves way and its on your left). No hints on fight but basically use your head and you'll be ok.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I like the 2 handed axe...seems very nice dps at level 20. Looks ok on a .5 elf as well. A nice dual wielding weap drops in the elephant training grounds on the Lt on the far left (name escapes me) for you Freeporters.</DIV>

<DIV>Greens do count - they just have to be on the higher end of the green scale. I killed 25 of green con battlers and got credit for them. I did not, however, get credit for killing the grouped green darkpaw shamans and soldiers. This was when I was level 18, and the battlers I think were level 15.</DIV>
<DIV>Green Battlers worked for me. I was 18 at the time. They are the only ones I killed to compete it. </DIV>

<DIV>Getting ready to go look for gnolls high end green I guess or blue. I'm now 19 and i hope i can find them. Can i be grouped when doing this quest?<BR></DIV> <DIV>Thanx for all the Info</DIV>

<DIV>yes you can group the quest. i grouped for the 25 i needed, got em in BB, elite guards and such. the other part i soloed. just have a decent ranged skill and pull with that. a decent bow does 20-70+ a **ZOMG**, and just pull one group at a time. i took everything out. after ya hit the spiritist, to the left are a few guards and a gnool talking to a bloodsabre. those are the bosses ya gotta take out.</DIV> <DIV>also, 2h IS the weapon a berserker should be using, but i agree that its total crap compared to most 1h swords. but i still use it cause i dig that stat bonuses and it goes with the class. but the animation for it does suck. looks like your more likely to split kindling than heads.</DIV> <DIV>ok thats all i got</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Halan Blooaxe</DIV> <DIV>21st Berserker</DIV> <DIV>Antonius Bayle</DIV>

<DIV>Well i'm done with berserker quest. Grouped for the 25 gnolls and did the valley myself. Really easy at 19. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I use duel wield weapons myself. I think it fits the rage more swinging 2 weapons at once. But i feel that its no better than any other sytle other than i get bonuses for 2 weapons. So i'm really stuck on what i want to use as a weapon choice. Might go to shield and hammer. Like my AD&D berserker used lol.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanx for all the help</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
