<DIV>Hi, all.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I've recently returned to this game but am no longer familiar with various things (I played through both betas and about a month during release). I still have my Guardian character with a couple pieces of my quest armor. I'm missing my class polearm (which I hope they changed by now anyway), and just trying to get used to all the different skills.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Is there anywhere specific as a guardian for gear and class related quests (if any)? Sorry if I seem a bit lost. Just my first day back in the game since December '04. <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<P>Until you get past 60, aim for the rare crafted armor of your current tier. Same goes for weapons.</P> <P> </P>

Player made Master Crafted items will do just fine up to level 50s.For now, try to get as much MIT and STA as you can and you'll do fine in groups. Also, don't forget to keep your single/AE taunts (and some defensive buffs) to at least Adept 1, if you can get them to Adept 3, even better.<div></div>

I am not sure what your goal is in the game, but you might want to evaluate whether the Guardian class gives you what you want.If you want to solo/group only, there are maybe some better classes in the fighter area <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Guardians are built for raid tanking. </div>

<P>Thanks for the great advice. I did create this character with intention of becoming a tank for my guild groups. I see they got rid of guild level decay also (funny thing how my guildies haven't logged in for about 600+days <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />)</P> <P>Thanks so much again <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

<DIV>For guild groups, just about any fighter class is good enough and some are better than guardians. Guardians really don't have much advantage in any area aside from mitigating spike damage which chiefly is only an issue in raids. To follow the above poster's comment, guardians are really just preferred for raid tanking, group tanking is done better by some others. Guardians are not quite the same as they were back in the day, unfortunately.</DIV>

Yes, I know I shouldn't be saying this, but it's a harsh reality of our class.</div>

<DIV>My question  is based on a duo group I run. I run a healer and another character pretty much solo. I have tried Healer - Conjuror, Monk and found them to be ok.  I did find Heroic's tough with the Soldier Pet and Healer and thought maybe I need something that can take more of a beating so thought I would try the Guardian.  I have several Monks and they always seemed to do well but after reading recent forum posts about Monk changes I thought the Guardian might be worth a try.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ok now my question is the Guardian a good match for a Duo group with a preist type? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks</DIV>
