Tranquil Vision:Grants the monk a chance to shield an ally from melee attacks, by allowing the target a chance to use the monk's avoidance check after their own avoidance check. This also increases the monk's deflection skill. (ogaming)Why should the order matter when there are two avoidance checks anyways?

Message Edited by butchrulez on 12-15-2006 01:02 PM

Yours is checked first, then if yours fails, the buff attempts to fire -- if it fires, then his is checked.

Since master is about 50% check rate... If you assume that you avoid 50% of incoming attacks, and if your other tank would normally avoid 50% attacks..

Then 50% of the time it would check his avoid, which would block 50% of those...

IE, it should improve your overall avoidance by about 13% in that scenario.

Monks avoidance buff can also give the fighter target 5% hate transfer from monk to target with correct AAs. If monks target for the buff is non fighter it takes 5% aggro from the player like amends instead. Now if that was 50% and not 5% it would be good indeed hehe

BTW small difference but with 2 fighters with 50% avoid its a 12.5% improvment in avoidance (assuming normal mobs that dont have high to hit bunuses of course)

Message Edited by Illustrious on 12-15-2006 04:34 PM
