<DIV> <DIV>Has any other guardians out there notice that the Block ability we get is not working properly?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It states "Shield will absord all melee attacks for 10secs", I know the part about AOEs not directly targetting, but my concern is, everytime I put up Block it drops either right away or stays up for about 3-5secs then drops. This ability is not staying up the full 10sec duration. I am not toggleling it or cancelling it on my end at any point. It does not spcify that their is a certain amount of melee hits it will take before dropping, so what gives?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have Fraps'd a couple fights and when I sort out my Fraps files I will post some combats where it drops right away, and stays for a few seconds.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just wondering if anyone else is noticing that Block is not working properly.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV></DIV>

I belive the description is misleading..i belive it is suppose to be 1 atack in those 10 secI mena really, do you think we will get a something like that? ALL atacks for 10 sec EVERY minute? That would be way way WAY overpowered.

<DIV>It is a broken ability atm that IS supposed to be 10 sec of invulnerabillity with the negative effect being we generate 0 hate during this time meaning if you use it too much you lose aggro.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I know its supposed to be like this because the previous version of this abillity on beta before it went live had the description that it only blocked 1 attack. Right before EoF went live the description was modified and added stifle/daze effect to it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This will eventually be corrected.</DIV>

<P>I, for one, would like a post from Sony stating for sure this was bugged and not just a misleading description. Otherwise, I would rather spend AAs in a different line. </P> <P>Forced to spend points on Enhance Unyielding Will to get to this bottom ability would be too much if it's only one hit <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P> </P>

The ability, originally, was to block the next melee based attack that would strike the guardian.  it was a 5 second duration, stifle and stun.  Later in beta, they changed it to a ten second duration stifle/stun that blocked one attack.  Finally, in the end of beta they changed it to a blocks-all-attacks for 10 seconds skill, and it worked.  It was essentially Dragoon's Reflexes II.  Unfortunately, the last day of beta, it was broken, and is still broken.  It is supposed to act as a 10 second immunity from physical attacks. The monk's Master's Evasion is also broken in this aspect.  It's the same AA, just dodges instead of blocks.  Both should be /bugged that they are not doing what their descriptions imply so they get fixed<div></div>

<div></div>Any word on this skill? It is not working still and while it only costs 1 point I was hoping for something better for completing that skill line.<div></div>

Secondly, the answer the question.  This skill's working function, and description are still different.  Since this has happened oodles of times in the past, i wont go into detail as to which is the "problem".  I still bet everything i own on block's description changing before the function of it does.<div></div>

I tested it everyday on beta, there was never a time where it gave 10 second immunity. I believe 1 block is intended, 10 second immunity is overpowered if you can do it every minute. Saying that it sucks because we won't hold agro is no viable excuse, simply put, having a 0.25 second casting 10 second immunity every 60 seconds is OVERPOWERED. It may be a little-underwhelming but I think its fine to just block one attack. <div></div>

Since i've had it, for the past two weeks.  As soon as i made a successful block, the stifle/daze effect wore off. This effect was never a stun, since i could continue to move around un-hindered.  I could use items unhindered, including my brocks thermal shocker, i could also AE taunt and overpower quite contently. The reason you may seem to be stifle/dazed for the full duration of the 10s, is simply the mob never made an attack that got by your parry/riposte/miss avoidance, which it checks before it attempts a block. i've had this skill wear off the instant i put it up, but i've also had it survive for the entire 10s duration.  During that time the only damage i took was from spell damage, which cant be blocked anyways. This skill is fine as is, it is neather underpowered or overpowered.  The description is misleading, and i'd be very happy if they adjusted it to reflect the actual function of the skill,  i just hope i can stop seeing posts regarding this skill. <div></div>
