Have any MTs found a use for this ability yet other than to say that it saved you 10% repair on your gear? This would be great without the loss of 24 threat positions. But, with that, I'm not sure there is any use in this ability to MTs. And the use to non-MT is limited to a 10s buff that saves you 10% repair on your gear and you've got to see the death coming which most non-MT don't see until they're dead.Any ideas?----------------- Vengeance's Decree duration: 1 minute effects: When target dies this spell will cast Seething Vengeance on caster. Lasts for 10 seconds. Caster will Double Attack on 15% of melee attacks Increases Damage Spell Crit Chance of caster by 25% Increases Damage Per Second of caster by 50 Heals caster for 25% of max health Increases Mele Crit Chance of caster by 15% Increases Attack Speed of caster by 15 Increases Casting Speed of caster by 50% Applies Vengeance's Departure on termination. Heals caster for 100% of max health Decreases threat priority of target by 24 positions Wards caster against 10000 points of all damage------------------

Could use it then burn Rescue and Reinforcement and if you're using the first Innurook Blessing which makes your taunts recharge 25% faster the aggro should only transfer briefly to another then back to you. Haven't tried that yet, but thats the only thing I could think of, especially with the increase to double attack and if you are using the buckler line you'd be double attacking 91%.

Now that I've thought about it more, if you die and res back into the fight, you've lost 24 threat positions. This looks like something that would be situationally useful for fights where you have to keep a tank rotation because you expect the tanks to die no matter what you do, but since it's a buff that has to be cast in advance, you have to see the death incoming. Like Sentry Watch, you pop it when you think someone is gonna die soon. Unlike Sentry Watch, you just wasted one use of a two use item that cost you some deity favor on a hunch that you were about to die, and maybe you didn't even die. Hmm...

Aye, I'd imagine it would be great for pulls, when the loss of 24 threat positions dosent mean much. It's also great for soloing named when no help is around. However being that its only useful if you die, well thats not something I'd like to count on.

Another great choice is Malevolent Wail, expecially if your looking to pull w/ it. It'll mezz an epic for 8 seconds and then terminate with a heafty nuke. 8 seconds is enuf time for you to setup, and the 6 to 9k nuke afterwords should guarentee you have the mobs attention.

Heck, just having an 8 second epic mezz thats insta-cast can be invaluable in some scenarios... for example if you like to tank both Vyemm and Alzid at the same time.

You'd need rescue then reinforcement then up to 20 hits on the mob (probably be nearer 15 as a buffed MT); even with all CAs up and buckler specced though, that would take a fair while.

Like you said with reinforcement, High CA's and rescue at the end to get the most of the 3 hate positions.
Message Edited by Sir_Halbarad on 12-01-2006 08:48 AM

If I'm reading it right, You aren't going to lose hate position until 1 minute after this is cast (upon termination). Since you have to die for the spell to take effect, its essentially giving the raid 1 more minute to kill the mob before the MA has to take agro

Terminations (loss of 24 hate positions) occurs when Seething Vengeance ends... this is 10 seconds after this Miracle is triggered.

Basics of this Miracle - Enhanced Death prevention spell with a 1 minute window of opportunity.

1) When triggered - Caster is 100% mitigated from a deathblow and instantly warded.

2) Instantly after - Seething Vengeance - Caster receives 10 seconds of high DPS, ect...

3) 10 seconds later - Vengeance Depature - Caster gets a 100% heal and loss of threat

It should be noted that every healer has a death prevention spell. These have a 10 second window of opportunity. Many times the MT dosent even know his life has been saved by these. They also 100% mitigate a killing blow and then instantly heal saved target... heal is just in smaller amounts. Recast of these spells is 10 minutes.

While the miracle version is much stronger with a huge window (1 min vs 10 sec) its honestly not worth it for a MT in a raid setting. You'll already have death prevention at your disposal from each MT-group healer, and when you add in our insta-cast emergency heals/wards/reactives (also 10 min recast) this miracle is actually outmatched.

Personally I suggest picking the Mez-bomb. Even if the mez portion isnt used, the 6 to 9k nuke is a priceless tool in aggro managment. Another option is the miracle with good damage and a fat group heal incorporated.
