<div></div>Is mitigation really all that great now in EOF raiding? We just started raiding EOF and even when we tried to put alot of mit on the tank Meaning Master Mitigation from healers (full fabled gear) Conj & Crusader. We noticed tank stil get hits pretty hard. We then put a Avoidance group together swapped out Conj & Crusader for Brawler to feed avoidance to Guardian and druid. This seemed to help alot however I'm curious if any Warriros have repected becuase avoidance seems to do pretty good now?thanks for info in advance<div></div><p>Message Edited by YourPIMP on <span class=date_text>11-22-2006</span> <span class=time_text>03:52 PM</span>

<DIV>I just respecd for Agil +def and Int +Parry.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Guild bought some +400 and x2 +150health ,Ripostle 2%, couple +14Agil, x2 +67 C/P/S for shield and Arms.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In a standard instance I was Riposting,Parry and blocking alot more.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My avoidance with just a fury/pally was at 61%,my Mit was still around 64%.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We are heading into Freethinkers tonight, and running with Crusader,Coercer,Templar,Defiler and hopefully the Dirge makes it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Hope this works out, otherwise we will continue to respec until we get it right.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The Mit increase from Wis is not really worth the points you put into it with Diminishing Returns implemented, as far as we see it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>So the avoidance and parry lines are more the way to go now? </P> <P>I remember when they went away from the Agi and avoidance. Now they're moving away from Mit. I wish SoE would make up thier minds.</P> <P>Laer</P>

<P>Well went into Freethinkers tonight.</P> <P>Succes so far with the respec. Healers were saying that it was easier to heal me then in past. 1/2 way through though we lost our warder and 2 other people due to internet troubles.</P> <P>So we took 3.5 groups into Labs for a loot run for raid members who needed it. Same thing, healers were quite happy with how healing me has turned out.</P> <P>We took Vymm down with only 3 groups and 4 healers. Mind you we are not a fully fable raid force as of yet, just really started having success about 6 weeks ago. All fights were not that bad, even toward end, the endbringers Debilitate seemed to be parried more, and I have noticed and overall increase in my Block, Parry and avoidance watching my combat logs.</P> <P>I am happy wuith my changes, and think others will see the use and how avoidance, parry are needed. I ran VLabs with raid buff Mit at about 5800, instead of the usual 6400 or so. I was still in CoP, but vymm dropped my DoomRage BP. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

<DIV>Sounds like your changes to avoidance were helpful. Thanks for the feedback.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Does anyone know the break point (law of diminishing returns) for mitigation yet? For stats? For saves?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Laer</DIV>

I have a 70 guardian alt. After EoF came out he was just taking a huge beating. I gave up the buckler line for the Agi line. The change made a huge difference. I think mitigation is just as important as it always was if not more now with the changes EoF brought. I would love to have the added parry but I think defense and mitigation are more important.

<P>I am still fully on the fence as to whats best as I am still far from certain.</P> <P>However my feelings are that mitigation above about 5k makes bugger all differance , i seem to tank as well at 5k as I do at 8 <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>I also think that block , parry , defence and avoidance so agility are now making a big differance so for the moment im actually often sitting wit better avoidance than mitigation and frankly i am doing just fine.</P> <P>Have not gone as far as dropping the buckler , yet.</P> <P>The tower shield is out a lot more than it was though.</P>

<DIV>I was taking alot more damage when EoF released with the wis/int lines for miti/dps/haste(nice sword), I respecced to the wis(only max miti) and the agi line with max defense and I seemed to do better all around. Instead of picking up the int parry line, I'm currently tinkering with dragoon reflexes. I may respec though and dump more into int/parry.</DIV>

<DIV>I don't have any DT plate (*sighs* No luck in a few runs so far <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ), but I am in doomrage and relic. My mitigation stands at a relatively low value of 4900, which equates to almost 60% mitigation. Tanks with with 57-5900 stand at about 63%. That 4% difference in my eyes is not worth all the points spent in the wisdom line,IMO. Right now, I'm 4/4/8/8 in Strength, and 4/5/8/8 in intelligence. Good haste, lots of criticals, permanent hate gain, and with all the parry from intelligence, I find I'm avoiding a bit more than I used to. Mitigation is still nice, but I'll get that from gear, not AAs. Aggro control is more important now that taunts are being resisted a lot, as well as DPS classes recieving an increase in their damage output. With just a Coercer in MT group, I'm about 75% haste, 75% dps + criticals. It's working good so far! <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV><p>Message Edited by Tyrion on <span class=date_text>11-25-2006</span> <span class=time_text>01:58 AM</span>

<P>Now can anyone comment on the difference between the def bonus of the Agi line and the parry bonus from the Int line?</P> <P>Laer</P>
Will.

<div><blockquote><hr>Laereneth wrote:<div></div> <p>Now can anyone comment on the difference between the def bonus of the Agi line and the parry bonus from the Int line?</p> <p>Laer</p><hr></blockquote>Since Parry and Dodge are both contested I went with the Int line because my Defense (self-buffed) is about 60 points higher than my Parry--<i>with</i> 8 points in the +Parry AA! Raid buffed the gap closes to 8 points. With diminishing returns I'd rather boost the lower stat since you'll see a bigger benefit from that.AbaiaIksarLDL</div>

<DIV>I took a closer look at changes in mitigation tonight and noticed that the change between 5K and 6K mitigation is only about 3% more damage mitigated. That's a little too steep imho.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Laer</DIV>
