I feel great about my guard in pvp, my only regret is that I leveled so fast and have a hard time finding fights now. There is a lot we can do so let's share our knowledge & experiences.Inflaming defence/Hole the line buff. Procs agro when hit. WARNING this combat art can proc when you are unengaged and engage you in pvp just like inbued legs usted to. It's been bugged forever the best solution is to always turn it off when solo it serves no purpose and can get you killed easy. Solo Guards on a horse are actually very good at running away when and being chased by 6 gankersGuardian/Stone sphere. This combat art is great against monks & bruisers. Their flurries and rapid attacks build up a lot of stoneskins and many of the hits are too small to activate a stoneskin proc which will then be saved for a higher dammage hit or combat art. Just be carefull about soaking up AOEs and taunting at the same time. Don't overtaunt. You don't want to take absolutly 100% of the dammage all of the time. Your job is to keep groupmates alive, something you can't do if dead so don't bite off more than you can chew. Timing is everything let them beat a swashie/brig/monk/bruiser for a little bit and then save them.Sentry watch. This is absolutely sick in group on group PvP. Group PvP fights are usually decided in the 1st 30 seconds. My favorite tactic is to pop this asap followed by stonesphere, tower of stone, and command before unloading any taunts. This ups group mitigation by a lot, let your group mates get pounded because they just can't die while sentry watch is up. The enemy dps is split between you and the other groups target, usually a mage or healer. If their target dies sentry watch will save your groupmate while you build up mad stoneskins and remain relatively untouched. I usually take this time to unload my high dammage offensive combat arts and then before sentry watch expires unload reinforcement followed by Besiege, goading assault and protection spaced in 3 to 5 second intervals. Wall of force is used before Command expires, but it is very rare a fight goes for more than a minute without someone getting killed which usually results in the doom of the rest of the casualties group.Anyhow those are my prefered tactis but as my old friend cheif Schmenko says there's more than 1 way to skin a cat, but no matter how you skin it when cooked right they are deliccccious.

Our single target buffs are very important too. place them on the right people and you cant lose.

Also you can maintain a guaranteed intercede on upto three people to soak the first hit which is generally a combat art on you weaker mates.
