Offensive Guardian

Ok first off, this is not meant for raiding or even grouping with a full group.  I plan to duo with a fury from 1 to whenever, 99% of the time we will play by ourselves.  We would like to beable to basically fight Heroics and Nameds as they become doable (guessing Blue maybe even con).   I really hate the idea of using a shield so I do not want to.  I would really like to use duel wield weapons and just enjoy going through the games content with the fury.  Is it possible to be an offensively geared Guardian and accomplish this? I think obviously the smart move would be to instead be a monk, but for some reason I really like the guardian class...I am sure this goes against everything that is what a guardian is, but do you think this is at all possible? I won't speak for the guardians, but you might find what you want (plate wearer, DW weapons, high damage) by playing a berzerker.  I'll wager plenty of the people here will give you good advice for making an offensive guardian as well.

I agree go with a berzerker.   You wear all the same gear but your skills are geared toward offense.<div></div>

I would agree with the berserker comment.With that being said.  Guardian can be viable but if you want more dps you really want to go down the STA AA line and get the double attack.  This requires you to use a buckler.If this isn't your approach then I would recomend the STR / WIS or INT line for added dps.Other than that you really only have the option of adept IIIing out your CAs.  The AAs are what will open up your dps potential.<div></div>

<P>I duo a lot with a fury, and we are able to pretty easily kill yellow heroics and most even con names.  </P> <P>I agree with the above posts and suggest you look into berserker.  You get 99% of the defensive abilities of a guardian and much higher dps.  </P> <P>A guardian's dps is very low until they get a healthy amount of aa's and some good gear.  You will most likely not be able to get enough aa's to start doing decent dps until you are at or near level 70.  </P>
